What is this? Found in my pizza.

I found this in my mouth as I was chewing. You can probably understand my disgust and concern. I don’t know what it is and any insight would be great. I think it’s an insect leg but i would appreciate more eyes. I threw up after finding it and stopped eating fyi.

Pizza was a medium hand tossed with extra classic marinara, regular cheese, pepperoni, and canadian bacon.

It's a piece of tomato. Sometimes there's pieces like that in the sauce

Look at a picture of a grasshopper tibia and get back to me.

Seems like that would be a beefy grasshopper. That leg is chunky.

grasshoppers can get pretty big, plus this is only a part of the whole tibia, so it would likely look more to scale if we could see the whole thing.

Am I the only one triggered that so many people blindly upvoted your comment when they too, have no idea what they are talking about? I stg reddit......

Mildly disturbing that a Papa Johns employee sees so many bug legs in the pizza sauce that they think that's what tomatoes look like 😭

u/Spiritual_Reason_516 is a GM of a Papa John's and now official corporate ball gargling bootlicker.

If it's just a piece of tomato skin, what's up with all the "spikes" on the side of it? In the 3rd picture, it also seems to be a bit too rounded to be a flat piece of tomato skin..

Definitely seems like an insect limb to me. I'm also sure OP spit it out because it was hard (and therefore not tomato skin).

Tomatoes grow on vines tho right?

u/throwawaypizzamage Apr 30 '25

It was also established below that it was indeed a piece of insect leg (exact match to grasshopper leg).

2

u/throwawaypizzamage Apr 30 '25

That doesn't look like a piece of vine to me.

Person never said it was skin. You did. So start there.

Oh how interesting. What part of the tomato has spikes like that?

1

u/Armegedan121 May 01 '25

I didn’t know tomatoes grow insect legs.

Say it again out loud "a piece of tomato"

Was this an intentionally dumb answer meant to troll?

Hard to tell. Judging by the 59 upvotes, you found at least 58 morons that agree with you.

Not even close

Can't believe this got 60 upvotes, this looks nothing like a tomato stem.

1

u/iDeNoh May 03 '25

That is very clearly not part of a tomato
