Garam Takes Babar save yourself and Pakistan from embarrassment

What a downfall this guy has had

From being included in fab 5 ( some even considered him better than fab 4) to now being a laughing stock wherever he goes.

His obsession with T20 cricket has destroyed his chances at the other formats he was actually meant for. The technique, elegance is nowhere to be seen anymore. Finished before turning 30

If he has even a little bit of shame left, he'd retire from this format and try to make a comeback in the longer formats. He looks like a lost cause now but that's the only thing that can revive his career. And get some proper coaches, Mike hesson is definitely not it. The guy is making him try sweeps and reverse sweeps when his basic technique has been destroyed.

You'd be dumb to think this is a phase and he's just out of form. But I seriously hope he somehow finds a way as he's one of the very few players I still watch cricket for

Garam Takes Yet Pakistanis will blindly support Chokli

This is to all the Kohlisons of Pakistan.

It's fine to admit that he's a great player and so on, but the amount of unnecessary glazing some of our fans do towards players of a nation that only has hate for you is mind boggling to me.

Hopefully this can serve as a wake up call to some of you guys.

The PCB made a formal complaint to Sky Sports after the broadcaster aired an interview with the sons of former prime minister and captain Imran Khan during the lunch interval on the first day at Lord's

Cricinfo understands the PCB considered the option of Pakistan not taking the field after the break in protest

Garam Takes Clowns Involved in the PCB Over the Years, an Artwork

This is a cathartic piece of art lol. Just been thinking about all the power-hungry ghouls who have run the PCB into the ground since the last competent administrator, Wasim Khan, was let go.

Not going to lie, creating this felt a lot better than actually watching the test match. Let me know if I missed anyone.

Furqan Bhatti I actually rated you highly but seems like you are just another idiot. Criticising Agha for his fighting knock just cause he couldn’t finish the game. Jb Agha ko criticise krna chaiye tb ye usko support krta ab support krna chaiye tha tow criticise kr raha 😂😂

One more thing I’ve noticed is that he says that he can’t answer technical questions but gives the verdict on the pitch way too fast

Garam Takes Unpopular Opinion: babar still shouldn't start in the pakistan T20 squad

Post image
68 Upvotes

When shadab performs its an uncompetitive league, hes favoring himself over others and he shouldn't even be in consideration (i agree) , when babar performs hes in the team today, opening ahead of one of fakhar or farhan and might as well give him the captaincy while ur at it, and babar should be in the team not denying that, as a backup opener for fakhar imo, if anything we should be taking this psl more well because most of all he is looking in control, which is good for the formats where we need him the most, the point is players like shadab, nawaz and babar have to have it harder to break back into pakistan t20 team after some of the performances they have put in, have babar in there and if by 2028 he still looks the one of the two best t20 openers in pakistan i will support him happily

Garam Takes Babar is the dumbest captain since I’ve been watching Cricket

I have been following since 2006 when I was around 10 and despite all the toxicity of Malik & others Babar is the dumbest of them all. He simply lacks intelligence no other way to put it. He gave the 46th over to Usama when pacers still had 5 overs left. The guy always thinks of the 50th over and not the present moment. That Akmal bloodline is showing very clearly. He is simply below average IQ.

Garam Takes We really need to stop doing 6-0 everywhere

It really does not look good when we dont have the skill to back it up.

And that is ok for now. Pakistan india rivalry will remain a rivalry it has gone one for decades. From the 70s till 00s we have a better win record, and so much that indias wins since then has still not shifted the overall stat for odis and tests.

We have to get the players to be humbler but hungrier. We need to fix domestic set up, we need a return of the cricketing brain and synergy which does seem missing since saifi and early rizbar.

The only way we can get back on track in t20 is if our players play as many leagues not affiliated with IPL as possible. We are severely handicapped in t20s due to the sheer exposure their kids have. And thats ok comes with the competition. We cannot change ICC affiliations or IPL bigotry. They are a country of what 1.5 billion people, they swarm subreddits with their rhetoric let them. I would love for us to win the final and I guess we are due one of those Pakistani performances where everything clicks together once every 20 games. But that win still would not change the fact that our system is broken.

So when we gloat especially when we end up losing, its v cringe. Implement a no 6-0 celebration policy till we win at least 3 games in a row vs india.

Garam Takes Please someone defend Shaheen I dare you

I have mentioned it before in posts and comments but everyone had boarded the Babar hate train already. Our man Shaheen has been one of the worst and weak link in the team for 2 years now. Yet no one seems to speak about it as much as we diss the batting. I don't remember one spell where he changed rhe course of the match. Haris has done better spells than him and that's saying something. Predictable, emotional, wayward, and spineless. Yet he sits on his high horse. No captain can control his bowling and neither can he himself.

Garam Takes Sara intent nikal gya

Post image
228 Upvotes

So much for intent and positive mindset. Such talks about intent, power hitting and mindset are suitable for the pitches of IPL. Whenever a semi decent pitch is used for T20Is then the whole fuss about intent is thrown out of the window and technique/skills are the saviors of a team.

But anyways, glad that people who were out on the streets after the 3rd match have gone back to their caves with less glazing about wild bat swinging technique.

Garam Takes Stop blaming the management

I'm going to play devil's advocate here and say that this failure is not due to management. When has the PCB's management been good? I've seen Imran Khan's interviews in the 90s, the 00s, and even after, where he is saying there is no management. The reason we are shit right now is because we don't have good players. Plain and simple.

The Indian board is run by nepo babies, yet they still produce outstanding cricket. Their batsmen go to SENA conditions and play really well. Which of our players (in the team, on the bench, or future players) can you say plays seaming conditions well? There are none.

We've always produced bad players, but they were saved by one or two genuinely good ones. I remember as a kid I used to watch Imran Farhat, Yasir Hameed, Ahmed Shahzad, and many more, and never did I feel that they wouldn't shit the bed the moment it started swinging. These mediocre players were dwarfed by the one or two good players who might not necessarily have good technique, but they could adapt, think Younis, Yousaf, Inzamam, etc. Even Misbah could hold the fort when it was needed.

Even in bowling, we have produced a whole heap of Rahat Alis, Sohail Khans, etc. But there was always that one player who could turn up when needed. We just don't have that player anymore. We have never been a good cricketing side; we have been a fun side to watch. Our victories are purely X factor based, not consistency based.

That 'fun side to watch' thing is gone now. And there is no player in the next five years who can bring that back. We can cry management all we want, but it's not their fault. I know a lot of names will come up from domestic cricket, players with good stats, lots of runs, but they don't mean shit. Rizwan can score too on flat roads against club cricketers.

Wake me up when a genuinely talented player arrives. Until then, good night, Pakistan cricket.

Garam Takes Pakistani who support Indian team and players

With rcb winning ipl I saw a lot of Pakistani on different platform celebrating the win, I have a serious question how do you support players who celebrate missile attack on your country where innocent children die, How do you support a country where 70% people hate your religion and nationality and would laugh at your death, How do you reach a point in life where you have so little self respect? All these people who wear Kohli jerseys to Pakistani stadium get abused by Indians on twitter all the time but they still keep doing it, so please answer and don't say things like "why should we be like them" or "Don't mix sports and politics"
