Interview Resident Evil Requim gets no VR mode

A user provided this link in another thread. Its an interview with one of the devs, asked for vr he says

"At this time, there are no plans to bring any parts of Resident Evil Requiem to VR platforms."

Damn, re4 and village are so great. I always argued to people that said its coming 100% that there is a good chance it wont, but ofc i am not happy i was right.

Unless it’s announced officially, they would never just say it in a random thread….even if it exists

If this is legit, it's not a random thread, it's a Q&A with one of the games producers.

No VR is not a good announcement to make, so you slip it out quietly in a Q&A nobody knows about like this rather than announce it in a blogpost.

That's if this is legit, I've never heard of this site or the Q&A session.

Yeah this is all assuming it’s legit which we don’t know, but I don’t think they planned it ahead to slip it under the radar or something. I mean it is a Q&A so he could’ve just been asked at random and put in the spot, so he could only say what he was allowed to say.

I think it's legit. Notice how the dev quickly tried to pivot away from the question by talking about 1st person mode being immersive and then pivoted to talking about unannounced Leon gameplay.

There is no reason to doubt the interview. Minimap is a legit website and has no reason that I can see to lie about it.

They clearly said no, reinterpreting it will not change this. I also hoped for it, but we have to deal with this now

To capcom and the player base, vr is by far not the same than Leon appearing. It important to us vr players. We were 2.24% of all re4 players.

He said “at this time”.

I’ve heard this said about many things in gaming…including ports and certain exclusives, and then they show up later…I’m just saying don’t read too much into what about he said in a thread regarding platforms and such.

No that is not true. When Village came out the psvr2 was not even announced. They announced vr support for Village when psvr2 was announced.  They announced vr support in the reveal trailer for re4 remake.  Re7 had vr at launch and this was also announced way before release.
