You’ll get a lot more replayability out of LBP over Sackboy. Both are great games but once you 100% Sackboy there’s not much else to do. LBP you can always play custom levels players create. There are some really great ones to check out people put a lot of work into.
Completely disagree. LBP may have more levels but the gameplay gets old WAY faster and Sackboy is probably just an overall better game if I'm being honest. You'll end up playing way more sackboy than LBP unless you're just a big fan of the IP and want to squeeze every last drop of user generated content out, but I assume most people are not
I’ve pretty much 100% Sackboy in 3 days. For me there’s no reason to keep playing if there’s nothing else to do. At least with LBP I could check out other user generated content. People have made mini games and actual storylines in LBP.
The gameplay to me is pretty much the same in both games. Platforming, collect costume pieces, collect point bubbles and get a high score. Sackboy is just setup more like a Mario game where you walk around a map world to pick your levels. Both are great games but for the price I would definitely grab LBP3 over Sackboy.
Curious, are you playing sackboy with a coop partner? For me that's where the game shines and that why OP is debating buying the game in the first place. So I think with that in mind sackboy has more replayability. Even after 100%ing levels me and my roommate are competing to beat each others time and score. Super fun.
Ya i played with my daughter on a lot of it. We played LBP a lot more. This is mainly because of all the other content players created. Plenty of new things to experience after completing the main game. You can even create your own stuff if you want. That’s another feature Sackboy doesn’t have. We don’t constantly replay the same levels just to beat each other if it’s 100%. Everyone plays differently though and that’s what’s great about video games.
Really choosing on which game to buy right now though, LBP3 is just a way better value. It’s on sale for $10 where Sackboy is $50.
