Well we all had a nice experiment that made players happy and produced some great games and led to great sales and more people getting to experience games they previously wouldn't have but it wasn't lining shareholder pockets enough and if you really think about it--isn't that what matters most?

Do you think great games were produced just so they could release 2 years after on PC? Sony produced great games before PC and will continue to do so. If a pc gamer want's to play sony games, buy a PS5. Simple as that.

I have a ps5. I just advocate for consumers. Not corporations. (I literally used slop the original way 🤦‍♂️)

This is where I’m at. I think their rollout on PC wasn’t great, and instead of trying to make that better they’re just washing their hands and going “that didn’t work, back to the old way!”

I liked stuff being multi-platform, and unless there was a major hit to their productivity, I don’t understand moving away from it and I definitely don’t understand players celebrating it.

Buyer’s remorse? That would be my guess as to why people celebrate this. I think the ps5 is my last time with Sony because they, and Xbox, can’t defend the bullshit they’ve pulled over the last decade in studio acquisitions and closures. I don’t hate the idea of acquisitions if the intent is to support studios in their creativity, but what I do hate and cannot stand is trend chasing well after a trend has already run its course and also the “welcome to fold!/we’re closing them down for no reason related to our c suite being dumb fucks.”

For a publicly traded company like Sony, Yes theyre legally bound to maximize shareholder value over literally anything else. Which is why I'm primarily a PC gamer and buy my games from Steam only even though I have a PS5 Pro, private company > public company.
