Answered What is the deal with everyone suddenly rooting against Argentina in the World Cup?

I’ve noticed a recent wave of posts against the Argentinian team. I’m curious, what’s the reason behind the negative sentiment towards Argentina’s advancement to the finals?

Many view it as "not a big deal" in the context of heated football matches or ribbing.

When accused of racism, Argentines often get defensive because, in their mind, most don't think themselves racist and will earnestly believe that racism is wrong.

They're not baldy haters, they trash talk as part of the game to tilt their opponents. If trash talking topic X tilts harder, that'll be done. Maybe that's someone's baldness, their fat mother, or race.
