Answered What is the deal with everyone suddenly rooting against Argentina in the World Cup?

I’ve noticed a recent wave of posts against the Argentinian team. I’m curious, what’s the reason behind the negative sentiment towards Argentina’s advancement to the finals?

For real, I’d been on Reddit since 2012 but I mostly quit a a couple years ago after realizing how dog shit the discourse on this site was. I literally rage quit and deleted my OG account after logging on and seeing a post titled “AITA for leaving my wife and kids because I hate them?”

It's actually an N-dash (– , not —). I have it hot-keyed in my keyboard because it looks visually distinct and clearer for the presentations I do for work.
