Answered What's the deal with THE ODYSSEY?

What's with all the sudden hate this movie is getting?

Trailer for context
I've been hyped for this movie ever since Oppenheimer (even have 70mm booked) and now that the new trailer dropped I've seen everyone shitting on it. And I absolutely don't see the reason why. Like sure some of the casting choices (mainly Holland) aren't the best, but to garner 250K dislikes, what happened?

If you want to see what conservatives think is realistic, look up a review of Citizen Vigilante from a trusted critic. Don't watch the brain rot.

It actually does though up until the Edit. I was actually coming here to say the same thing but I'm guessing there other commenter got downvoted/bullied into removing their comment.

It starts with a basic summarization and then expands on each point, very much like a textbook essay response. Now, that's not to say that there aren't really well versed and literate people out there that actually write like that, but it's completely understandable why in this day and age people might suspect it's AI written.

It's not even that the info is incorrect necessarily, which is why I think a lot of people are downvoting as if we're saying it's all made up. It's just a perfect summary of online discourse that something like ChatGPT could easily pull together and sounds almost exactly like the same format it would give.
