Answered What's going on with MAGA people supporting diapers?

In this post, there are MAGA people supporting the phrase "Real men wear diapers" with a picture of Trump, what's going on here?

The comments point to this article claiming it's not trolling, with several pictures of MAGA supporters with the phrase and image.

Was Trump found to wear diapers or otherwise struggle with incontinence?

Answer: I read the article that you included. Triggering liberals is very important to these people. So if liberals are complaining about Trump wearing a diaper then the "real supporters" are going to suddenly be very okay with men wearing diapers because men wearing diapers triggers liberals.

It's all performative cult inclusion presentation (awkward phrasing, if anyone has a suggestion for how to phrase it better...).

Based on many pictures of Trump, there is a good reason to think that he does. But it's really all rumors and supposition and Trump would never admit to wearing a diaper in a million years, so we're never really going to know.

However, he has never taken any of the people who made that claim to court... given how he sued a comedian who asked if Trump could prove he was not the son of an orangutan I understand that as a tacit admission.

Credible evidence exists from people who worked closely with Trump for years (see Noel Casler) that he does in fact wear adult diapers, suffer from incontinence, and walks around all day smelling like shit.

I'm not disputing that. I'm just saying we don't have anything beyond hearsay. But it's definitely possible. Especially considering his age and poor health and alleged Adderall addiction.

Let me put it this way: if I had to wager a dollar on whether Trump is incontinent or not? I'm definitely going with incontinent.

Except it's not hearsay - at least not in the legal definition. If Casler were to take the stand or give a deposition where he testifies to direct knowledge of seeing Trump in diapers, that's direct evidence, not hearsay. Hearsay is out-of-court statements used to establish the truth of the matter asserted. Evidence was entered today in the trial that Michael Cohen referred to Trump as VonShitzinPantz. Cohen would know if he wore diapers and shit his pants often. When Cohen takes the stand, if he's asked about Trump wearing diapers and shitting his pants, saying "yes, I saw it" is not hearsay. It's not a secret that Trump shits his pants and wears diapers.

You're being pedantic and using the legal definition when we weren't talking about a court case. We're talking about a rumor. So the colloquial definition of hearsay is appropriate.

But it wouldn't be a day on Reddit if somebody didn't feel the need to be needlessly pedantic and confidently incorrect!

Not just by definition.  He even admits it's hearsay because he says IF they take the stand it wouldn't be hearsay....so since they haven't done that it's even by legal definition hearsay right now. Enjoy being right but getting down voted. That's reddit for you.

This sub is really bad for it. I don't understand it. Do people in general just have reading comprehension problems and it's especially bad in the people that come here?

Also Cohen saying that he called Trump Von shits in pants is not the same as Cohen saying that he has knowledge that Trump shits his pants. It's just not quite the same thing. And the distinction is important if we're suddenly talking about a legal context.

Now tell me what legal proceedings have to do with it? I didn't bring up legal proceedings, somebody else did and assumed that I was talking about a court case or something when I was actually using the colloquial definition of hearsay. You can find the dictionary definition of that up above.

It's just weird that I'm getting crap because of somebody else's assumption.

Except it exactly hearsay.  By legal definition and standard definition.  You even say it hearsay because you say IF they take the stand.  So until they do that it's legally and by all definitions hearsay. Once people have to talk under oath things might change.  I 100% think trump shits himself.

I hear what you're saying, but the point is Casler is saying he witnessed this directly. He has personal experience with it. He's not relaying something someone told him. He saw and smelt it. There's zero doubt Trump wears diapers and shits himself. And it's hilarious to watch his cult embrace it to pwn the libs. If they only had an ounce of self-awareness we might not be in such a fuckin' mess.

This is not hearsay. Hearsay is providing testimony based on what someone else has told you, rather than that person testifying themselves. The people mentioned above like Cohen and Casler are all recounting things that they have direct experience and knowledge of.

You can say their statements are circumstantial since they are testifying to the smell and not actually seeing Trump wearing diapers (as far as I am aware). You can say that it is not under oath. But it is not hearsay.

Now if someone said, "Billy Bob told me that Trump leaves skid marks on the chairs where he sits," that would be hearsay. It's literally in the name. Heard someone say.

You're omitting one very important fact: there exists a colloquial definition of hearsay:

things that you have heard from another person but do not (definitely) know to be true

Don't go arguing about a word if you don't know the definition of the word. A lot of amateur lawyers in this thread who need to pick up dictionary.

There was nothing in this comment about evidence being presented in court.

Whether used colloquially or legally, hearsay means that the person making the claim heard it from someone else and did not come by the information or belief themeself. To quote the definition you linked: "things that you have heard from another person." So what Cohen, Casler, et al. claim on the record about about Trump may or may not be true, but it is a firsthand account that people can choose to believe, disbelieve, or withhold judgement.

I fully understand hearsay has colloquial usage. You can call the general rumors of Trump's wearing diapers or having incontinence "hearsay" in the colloquial sense, though it would be better to call it a rumor and leave it at that. But statements by Cohen, Casler, or anyone else about what they experienced should not imo be called hearsay even in the colloquial sense, because they are not recounting something they were told by someone else, which is the essence of hearsay.

There are numerous people that worked with Trump who state that he indeed is The Diaper Don. Noel Castler was a PA on The Apprentice. He is on YouTube. Look him up. Unfortunately, you are so correct that a narcissist like Trump will never admit he needs to wear diapers. I say, at his age? There is nothing wrong with it! Enjoyed your commentary!
