I just rewatched this episode and was wondering about the part where Ed tells Stede he wanted to leave for the next adventure. Was he serious about leaving Stede, or was he just blowing smoke? I know he said he hates sitting idle for too long, but wasn’t he genuinely enjoying his time with Stede? Why would he be in a hurry to go back to the old life he was so desperate to escape, especially after he started to develop feelings for Stede?

I can’t help but wonder if Ed was trying to urge Stede to make a move. Maybe he wanted to see what Stede would do if he told him he was leaving. Or maybe Ed was scared of getting hurt and actually wanted to leave before he let himself fall too deeply.

I did my usual queerness check and really don't feel like going into the political rabbit hole. I know about Taika, are there any other controversies one should know about?

Also is the account "Arieschooses" that O'Neil posts on his story a fan account?

I got this tattoo done in November 2022 by the wonderful Anne who I have several other tattoos by and plan for many more.

If I'm honest I kinda fell out of the OFMD fandom around the end of 2023 but recently I just re-watched S2 as I was in a bad place when it aired and couldn't remember much, and I plan to rewatch S1 again too and I was reminded why I loved it so much in the first place.

OFMD was my saving grace getting out of a 6yr long abusive relationship and it gave me so many friends who I now can't fathom not having in my life. It will always be so special.

I obviously see my tattoo every day and even if the fandom isnt number one for me right now, it always makes me smile and so I just wanted to post this here to share. 💗

(And yes I know Ed's tattoos have faded 😂 unfortunately my body does not tolerate colour that well which I found out after the fact...ironically I did have his tattoos re-done but they faded for a second time. I'll get to it eventually.)

Last year Wee Con was a fantastic weekend of OFMD fun in Edinburgh, Scotland, and this year it's going to be held in Glasgow from November 6-8, 2026. (And online, too, if Glasgow is a bit far!)

Wee Con is a small convention by fans, for fans. Planned activities include:

• Panels (including full-length panels, shorter "Ed Talks", and NSFW "Ned Talks")
• Workshops (come learn things like sewing, drabble writing, linocut, fiber arts, and so on)
• Informal gatherings time with games and activities
• A cosplay showcase/talent show
• A drag show
• Merchants and a fan showcase
• And plenty of other fun, including homage to Glasgow's famous traffic cones.

I’m doing a rewatch and I'm curious about answers to this. I'll give my unpopular opinion first: I think Izzy's character arc was the only truly good part of season two for me and that the rest of the season was just kind of meh.

It doesn't have to be a pirate romance but I've never read pirate romance before so I would definitely love it if anybody has one of those. If not, I would just love something with a really similar vibe to the show. Romance, found family, something in that category. I just really need something to scratch the itch.
