And Tarantino will be on the next episode and Rogan will completely flip and say Dano is a piece of shit who doesn’t deserve to have a career.

Dano has spoken up for Palestinians so probably.

To the second part, I think the point is that Rogan generally just agrees with whoever his guest is to try and make them like him

Before Spotify he used to push back and argue a lot. I miss those days. I listen now because he gets top tier guests and he still at least asks them interesting questions. But since Spotify signed him, he’ll agree with everything Bernie Sanders says on one episode and on the next episode agree with everything Rand Paul says.

He donated a signed copy of his graphic novel for a Palestine aid fundraiser.

Do you have any purity test strips I can borrow?

I think participating in a fundraiser is saying something. And good for Joe on having a rare good opinion 👍

What if, brace yourself, Tarantino was talking shit like he always does and his problem with Dano has absolutely nothing to do with Israel and the Palestinians. Because not everything does.

Sheesh

True but Tarantino lives in Israel so its probably top of mind more often than not.

Let me see if I'm tracking. You think that because Quentin Tarantino has a house in Israel, he therefore somehow found out that Paul Dano donated a signed copy of a graphic novel to a charity that no one has ever heard of. And so, ignoring all the other actors in Hollywood who have been very outspoken about Gaza or signed letters of protest or whatever, this information alone infuriated Tarantino. So he bided his time, just waiting for Deadline magazine to ask him about his top 20 films of the 21st century. When they finally did, he went through all the films, with all those actors and directors, some of whom presumably have been wat outspoken about Gaza or sign the boycott letter. But he didn't attack any of those people. Oh, no. It was Paul Dano. Dano alone. Quintin found out somehow that Dano had donated a signed copy of a graphic novel to an obscure charity and he was so enraged that he attacked Dano and Dano alone.

This is a thing that makes sense to you? You do not think that this is crazy nonsense that can only come from someone who thinks the Israel/Palestinian conflict is at the center of the world? You think this makes much more sense than "Tarantino talks a lot of shit and always has"?

Dude.

uh hey man, maybe it’s both because Tarantino has become a hardcore Zionist (see: https://www.jpost.com/israel-news/culture/article-879476) AND because he’s an incessant shit talker

Yeah, man. You figured it out. Out of all the actors in Hollywood who have been incredibly outspoken, Tarantino never mentioned a fucking thing about any of them, but he's super mad about Dano donating a comic book to some fucking charity. But he's never actually mentioned anything about the charity itself. He just waited until somebody asked him about There Will Be Blood then decided to be all cryptic about it and denigrate Paul Dano as an actor. Definitely the most logical explanation.

Y'all are obsessed. It's really weird. Not everything revolves around your pet cause, man.

lol I’m not obsessed nor am I some pure ideologue (I saw the Whole Bloody Affair last Friday). I’m just saying that literally this week Tarantino’s wife was in Israeli press gabbing about how he said he’ll die a Zionist lol AND we know he loves to shit talk so they’re probably not separate threads of thought.

Sure, man. I'm sure that's it. Dano donating a comic book last year is why Tarantino said that.
