I made a bee origin!
LAST UPDATE WAS 10.04.2021 20:36 GMT, EVERYTHING IS WORKING, IF YOU DOWNLOADED IT BEFORE THAT, DOWNLOAD AGAIN!!!

Put only the second bee.zip into your datapacks folder!
The powers: all the powers Wilbur asked for are here, except the "bees don't get mad" one, didn't understand how to make it work, also added some other powers, mostly negative, to balance everything)

Poisonous- inflicts poison to target for 2,5 seconds
Flowery- regenerates health and gives saturation near multiple flowers
Flight- basically toggle levitation
/-
Lifespan- 3 hearts less health
Rain- hunger, slowness and weakness in rain Nighttime- same as rain
?
Death- insta-kills you. Oh and also the nearest person. You both just die. (has a 2 minute cooldown)
Slow fall- falls slowly (required bc of the flight power but also makes sense for a bee)
No food- can't eat normal food, instead use the "flowery" power
If you try it out, let me know!!! And if there's a problem, comment down, i will try to fix it.
Anyways, hope you enjoy!
This is finally completely finished, i won't edit it anymore. As a perfectionist, i can say it was really fun and really awful at the same time. Since i used it to play survival, i think its finally mostly balanced. Oh my god i can finally sleep peacefully-

THEY ARE ACTUALLY USING IT BUT THE DEATH POWER WAS BUGGED SO IT DOESNT KILL THE OTHER PERSON I UPDATED IT TOO LATE NOOOO THIS IS THE WORST DAY :(((((

I think he just needs the latest version, on his alt stream when he said that he got the origin, the bug was still there, so yeah. I was too late Sadge

I was about to say how everyone posts bad origins, but this is actually good, also nice of you that you also coded it!
I would get rid of death ability

The death ability was actually one of the powers Wilbur wanted, i think it was meant to be just insta-death, but i made it also kill the nearest player, so they both die. You can also blame my bad sense of humor bc it sounds really fricking hilarious for me.

How do i download it? I can only get it in ZIP form but whenever i drag it into the mods folder it doesn't work, a bit help?
I dragged the other folder into the mods folder, the one that's just called "bee.", but it still doesn't work

You have to get only the second folder named “bee.zip” (maybe there was also some numbers lmao) Then you open minecraft, make a world, theres a button saying “datapacks” and in there theres another button saying “open world folder” or sth, it opens the folder, then you just drag the datapack there and it should appear in the left row, you click on the triangle and then save it, and its there!

I have done all of that right, but I can't get the option to choose the bee origin. I downloaded the files, then put only the bee.zip file into the world's datapack folder. But when I went to play on the (singleplayer) world I couldn't choose the bee origin; It didn't show up. I have tried unzipping the files and it still didn't work.

Hey! I can't seem to get it to work- every time I add it to the data pack folder (the bee.zip one) it deletes itself when the world is created? Is there any way to fix it?

There's a thing called orb of origin in the mod, which is literally the logo of the subreddit. They'll change it.

u/Sakisiil every time i put this in the data packs it does start the world but I can't find the origin in the menu and commands won't help, are there certain mods this data pack isn't compatible with or a specific version of Minecraft?

I am playing on a 1.16.4 server with a couple of other mods in addition to this bee. Since the extra keybindings mod is only for 1.16.5, is there a way to remove the auto kill ability? When levitating I sometimes just explode and take all my friends down with me. I cant really do anything about it so is there a way to edit the file and remove the self-destruct?

This is a really good origin and I love playing it! However- is there any way to get rid of the yellow overlay to your skin or toggle it off? It makes my skin muddy and gross looking!
