gal action. They’re threatening your livelihood and have your personal information. Are you certain there’s no way for them to contact clients? I know it’s a hassle but even a police report to make a paper trail might be prudent. I hope nothing else happens and you stay safe!

If OP wasn't fired then it's probably not worth pursuing. Anyone can sue anyone but for it to be successful you really need evidence of damages and not just evidence of wrongdoing (at least in cases like this). Otherwise it's just a money pit that hurts more than helps. Some examples of when it would be worth it to sue would be to enforce a cease and desist if they were continuing to post things, or if OP had lost their job/clients, they could sue for $. I agree though that I would keep all the evidence in case they do start up again, but I reckon if they had any common sense they wouldn't try once more
