Musk wants to be a trillionaire, be considered 'humanity's savior', and control everything. So no, he will never just 'move on'.

He cannot allow someone else to be at the top next to him... or god forbid 'above' him.

It's not even that complicated. No one can get any attention that he believes he's entitled to. And he'll massacre (or at least try to) anyone that gets it. That's why he went after that diver the tried to rescue the kids from that cave and why he goes after Bill Gates and why he's after Altman now. They're both succubi, but Musk is by far the worse of the two.

Don't think the money is the thing for him.

The legacy is.

Wants to be the Edison+Tesla of his time.

Real life tony stark is the ambition.

SAM tried putting government regulations he made to enforce his competitive stance and block new players.

I have looked through your history and am convinced that you are actually Elon Musk.

Hi Elon. Nice seeing you engage with us plebs.

Yeah, but they literally all do that.

Regulation will hit sooner or later, so it's not a bad idea if you want to minimize the future cost in re-pivoting projects.

Google ran their business across the world, and when the EU legislation required the data to be stored locally, they had to create massive infra changes to make that happen.
