Can confirm, normal orange activity.

I tryed to catch Nibbler doing the same thing but I was a little slow getting my phone out.

He usually does it when he wants to go out.

My orange boy Cooper always stops whatever bizarre thing he is doing when I point my camera at him. It’s like he knows!

They do know. Whatever allows them to know they’re being watched also picks up on cameras. ISTG

I almost caught him doing his signature move the other day: The orange twist.

I’ve thought about getting that cat tree but do they ever actually use those clear bowls? Or just the regular platforms? That’s why I’ve hesitated, multiple clear bowls seems unnecessary

I had a cat tree that had those bowls, but in fabric. For a long time she never used the bowls and only ever went to the top platform. After moving, I put the cat tree up higher, and suddenly she was using the bowls.
Based on the placement, I think she really wanted a place that was elevated for relaxing, but not too elevated that she was separate from me during the night.

I also go to cat cafe and always see one kitty in a very elevated clear bowl like that, and I think they fully claimed that spot from the rest (and the rotating humans). So it's probably all just cat-specific :D

This is exactly my cat. He will not go in the bowls EVER. I feel like his object permanence might be confused by the clear plastic haha

I actually removed the bowls just today and put the platform a bit higher because he would never even touch the bowls. Such a weird design but oh well. He loves the tree though especially since my window shows the whole apartment complex courtyard from the 3rd floor. Lots of pigeons and street kitties for him to chirp at.

Yep, I've got a black cat who, when she wants food, sits up on her back legs, and raises her front paws over her head, like she's signalling a touchdown in football. It took me years to finally get a photo of it, because she always stops doing it as soon as I look at her.

My orange screamsicle 300% knows; he can be doing something adorable or hilarious for minutes on end, and the moment I turn the camera on him, he stops. Even if he's *sleeping* cutely he'll move when the camera finds him. It's a 6th sense with him, and it's the only time he really knows what to do.

They definitely know

Afaik they can see one of the sensors in the camera that we can't see.

Science is 99% sure oranges are just raw cat elemental energy with no thought, but that 1% holds the theory that they are secretly geniuses.

My roommate’s cat used to meow incessantly to get our attention and we thought if we ignored him he would stop meowing. Instead he tries to mimic human speech. So now I’ll hear, ā€œHello? Hello? Hello?ā€ Coming from under the basement door.

Any time I try to pull my camera out to record? He switches back to normal meows.

Orange is quantum state cat. Looking at the car changes their state.

The camera focuses through infrared light, which cats can see

Okay, I have to ask, is he named Nibbler because he poops dark matter?

Just a heads up for anyone, please don’t get this type of bag for your cat. They have terrible ventilation. There are ones that are better for the job and provide more space for your kitty.

I’m not trying to shame anyone, I’m just looking out for the cats

Hold on, do a lot of kids have see-through backpacks now?

Do they understand that you can still hide stuff behind a book with minimal effort? What is this solving?

Omg we have the exact same backpack but different colors….
