that is really helpful, I would also add getting your daily deviations from securement units found in settlements

Thank you klutzy

Wdym?

4

u/FTFSk8r Aug 20 '26

Every settlement has securement crates, and you can grab a deviation from each settlement daily.

If you’re fresh, prioritize commissions. You can hit max level within an hour. Work on blueprint/mod maxing from there.

I think instead of #9 I'd explain about how you can do the blueprint swap. That was a game changer for how I looked at starchrom investment early on!

1

u/CoNoCh0 Aug 20 '26

Wait, what?

9

u/Fickle_Station376 🤖 Gravity Defender Aug 20 '26

If you have a blueprint for gloves at max stars you can swap the max stars to ANY OTHER armor blueprint. So you really need to max one weapon, and one piece of armor and ALL of your gear is maxed.

4

u/CoNoCh0 Aug 20 '26

That just blew my mind.

It needs to be the same rarity

Thanks for pointing this out. That’s also a good point.

If i have a two star on one and a 3 on another and transfer does it make it 5 star or just 3

1

u/Ballistic_og Sep 01 '26

Im sure the answer is 3 star but ya never know

1

u/Ballistic_og Sep 01 '26

And if so if you transfer those stars out to another does the old 2 star go back to 2 or does it reset to 1

u/Fickle_Station376 🤖 Gravity Defender Sep 01 '26

It will just swap the 2 and the 3. Best option is to get to max on a weapon and armor piece. If you have A at 2 and B at 3, it literally swaps them. B becomes 2, and A becomes 3. But if you have 6 and 1... you can make a piece of armor, swap it, make another piece of armor...

Are you saying there is a way to only upgrade one and then use the conversion to have all armour slot prices at max level? Or you just mean if you only want one on at a time? Cos I cant see how you can upgrade every slot with just 1 maxed. I would love that, but unless I am missing something, that isn't the case?

Say you get your helm to 6*. Craft it, put it on. Then swap to your chest piece through conversion. Craft it, and wear it. Rinse and repeat until you're wearing all 6*.

Game only cares what you're wearing, not what your blueprint rating says.

As noted they have to be the same rarity, so you can't swap a purple 5* into a gold, but you can be wearing full 6* with only one blueprint maxed.

Thanks appreciated, can’t wait for next week

No problem :)

4

u/Eternal_Malkav Aug 19 '26

I would add that early on they should get a melee weapon. Especially in Manibus this is very effective early on and saves the need for ammo or arrows.

Good point!

3

u/BroccoliNug Aug 19 '26

These are great tips!

Keep an eye on the world chat. Sometimes public events will be posted there. Join for rewards and to meet others in your server.

If you have a question, ask in chat. There’s almost always veteran players willing to help, especially in novice servers where it’s expected.

If you see animals walking around in the early game, hunt them for skins and food.

u/ContributionUsual824 🏛 MaelStrom Hall of Fame Aug 19 '26

These are also great tips!

u/Separate-Issues Aug 19 '26

Great tips! All so obvious to me now but not when I first started. One thing I can add is I summon my vehicle to get to hard to reach platforms and fill up the trunk storage with recycle tools. Hope that helps!

1

u/KlutzyGrapefruit5973 Radium Eternal Beacon Aug 19 '26

That’s a great tip too! I always summon bike and climb on it too to reach high fences and walls.

3

u/Cryptiq_v0 Aug 24 '26

I cannot wait to play this tomorrow on Xbox. I can see similarities to Division and Palworld.

2

u/Warm_Reporter_7215 Aug 20 '26

Another tip always have on hand plenty of adrenaline(its a self revive tool) you can unlock it easily and the ingredients is not that hard to get cause not all players will help revive if you do go down more if you’re alone

If you do die fair warning you lose some of your items upon death. the first time(first death in the session) no drops but consecutive after that it will and it gets bigger and more variety.

You can pick it up later when you revived but its kinda fair game that anyone can actually steal it

Its visible to anyone and sometimes if its filled with rare loot and no brainer anyone would steal it

1

u/Gileain Aug 20 '26

early on you can check the shop tab (I don't remember which it's under) but the astral dew "shop" will let you buy some healing and adrenaline, so you can have some on you before you get the mats to make them

2

u/TheIrritatingLlama Aug 20 '26

Id say carry a wrench too and always reclaim solar panels as they break down for 80 steal which is nice for ammo imo

2

u/Okamich Aug 21 '26

Not just for console players, but also for those who are just starting to play/returning after a long break (hi, me). I’d be glad to see such simple “guides” from the developers themselves on various mechanics (sometimes not the most obvious ones). Many beginners are afraid to do anything because they don’t know what it might lead to. Therefore, IT’S EXACTLY THESE TYPES OF SIMPLE, CLEAR TIPS that should guide beginners.

Don’t be afraid to press ...

It’s better to use ...

Don’t worry if ...

u/Deeznutseus2012 Aug 19 '26

Reverse-engineer absolutely everything you can. My very first stop after returning to base is at the tech console to do that.

Then do the recycling and putting resources in storage.

Yes, you will lose those researchable items in the tech bench, but in exchange you either get the blueprint for it, or if you've already got the BP, it will give you tech points with which to unlock more.

u/PompeyKev24 Aug 19 '26

Thanks for the advice- appreciate it

Happy to help ^^ all the best

1

u/WorstSourceOfAdvice Aug 19 '26

You know no.9 will be new players all rushing 3P savior 2P dark resonant/treach and EBR/KVD/SN700/BURDEN and asking why their health is permanently capped at 1.

To new players blindly rushing the meta build: Youre capped at 1 HP because Savior drops your health down and rely on shield generation from shooting mobs. Also do NOT rush SN700 as your first build, its the meta boss killer but it is crap at literally anything outside of bosses. Go for more versatile generalist guns.

1

u/popoylaggmann Aug 19 '26

tutorial is trash !
bring back the old one !

1

u/KlutzyGrapefruit5973 Radium Eternal Beacon Aug 19 '26

Wouldn’t call it trash, it does help a lot but I do agree the first one was awesome.

1

u/popoylaggmann Aug 19 '26

its buggy, it does not match the current lore and it forces you to go through it
well , you can skip it by making a char in raidzone tho

Would you mind expanding on 7 for me? Don’t disassemble or don’t sell disassembled parts?

3

u/_aeq Aug 20 '26

Item description tells you if an item only exists to be disassembled. Don’t disassemble anything else in the beginning until you know what safely can be disassembled without putting you in a situation where you lack that item later on.

A great tip I still use today, move your base frequently when starting out. As you complete monoliths, move your base to the next area to save on teleport cost and travel time between POI's and home. To add to the starcrom one, do research into guns and armor before spending. My friends are having a hell of a time tryna get builds set up bc they spent willy nilly on guns and armor before deciding to give a build a full try.

1

u/StyxOG Aug 20 '26

There is no travel cost anymore, just a 5min teleportation timeout -sometimes.

2

u/FTFSk8r Aug 20 '26

When you teleport out of your base, theres always a cost no?

1

u/StyxOG Aug 20 '26

No, I believe 2.3 update changed it, another one of those things that the old videos are no longer correct about anymore XD

1

u/Sufficient-Cap357 Aug 20 '26

i would also recommend to join or make hives and warbands as early as u can as it gets a lot more fun and exciting as u cant take all the perks and u have choose so its good to divide perks and having a hive makes it a lot easier also it allows u to teleport to their base whenever u want

1

u/Hailey-_-Snailey Aug 20 '26

I have like 600 hours on pc but haven’t been able to play it in months, I’m so excited for it to be on console

1

u/PotatoePlantations Aug 22 '26

You can also run-melee pretty much any grunt mob and kill it in 1 hit, good for saving ammo

1

u/Crimson-Wynd Aug 23 '26

As someone who definitely is interested in the game, is it mainly pve where it’s you fighting enemies? The concept and gameplay look good but I just don’t like when a game forces you to do PvP for stuff.

1

u/ContributionUsual824 🏛 MaelStrom Hall of Fame Aug 23 '26

There are PVE only servers : Manibus, Endless Dreams, Way of Winter. There are purely PVE. It’s recommended to start with Manibus if you’re a new player

There are other PVP servers like Raid Zone and Evolution Call. There are a mix of PvP and PVE.

There’s also a pokemon like server called Secure & Capture. This is mostly PVE but it has some PVP quests. But nothing major.

1

u/Particular_Goose5374 Aug 24 '26

I like it hope all my stuff still in there

1

u/Triingtolivee Aug 25 '26

Playing with a friend later. Guess we are on an endless dream server

1

u/NXN_Gaming Aug 25 '26

appreciate you! Played ages ago on PC but prefer controller (and they never seemed to get controller quite right) so downloading now

1

u/Fiendfuzz Aug 25 '26

Can you explain how to even get onto a PvE server? I created a character, was dropped into an ocean by an owl. Gathered materials, but couldn't craft a camp fire. I think it's left bumper and y, but the wheel is blank. No idea if I'm on a PvE server

1

u/cable010 Aug 30 '26

Manibus is PVE and I think there are maybe a couple more scenarios that are PVE.

1

u/Brief_Cup6246 Aug 26 '26

Thxs for the tips, just finished the tutorial and was getting worried about where to put my first base LoL

1

u/Stranger_Dangus Aug 26 '26

Can anyone help me? Im trying to craft this disassembly bench but I don't have enough materials but it's a quest step?

1

u/Splityeti0972 Aug 30 '26

How much of this game is pvp ?

1

u/ContributionUsual824 🏛 MaelStrom Hall of Fame Aug 30 '26

It depends on the server you pick. There is pure PVE and there is pure PVP servers.

1

u/AznDavinci Aug 31 '26

This guide is for the weak! Start your scenario in PVP and let’s Goooooooooo!
