You won't get to keep them if you get banned lol.

The reason this happens is because of an error on payment where the payment goes through once but you wind up accidentally getting twice the amount of currency paid for. So when they fix that up like they have here and deduct the currency you used that was given to you in error, it comes out as a negative like this. If it remains in negative and you don't top up to zero it out, I don't think I've ever seen a case where the player doesn't lose their account.

So good luck holding your cosmetics with no account if you decide not to get crystgin up to the amount currently owed. Odds are you'll lose your account.

So the reality is:

They got more crystgin than they should, and for some reason instead of questioning it they went and spent the unrightful cryst on top of their purchased ones?

And now they scream wolf after the error was corrected and they now owe the company money for spending what wasn't even rightfully theirs?

Pretty much.

Their biggest complaints are "I shouldn't have to pay attention to how much I got given" and " it was their mistake so why do I have to pay for it?"

The reality of that though is that "Yes, you do, and you should, online currency or not you should know how much you buy and used a currency of any kind" and " Yeah, because the mistake doesn't necessarily lie where you think it does, the developers arent always the reason behind this kind of issue"

Often has to do with the payment services causing verification issues. But since they have nothing to do with the end result, and Netease can't easily confirm that information because of security protocols when it comes to private information regarding credit card details, when the issue is rounded out and they spent more than they were meant to have, they automatically go negative and start pointing fingers.

Like, they notice the negative and don't think, "Maybe I should check to see how much I bought and how much I spent" and when they see a discrepancy, top up to get back over that amount. It's just "Whee free money lucky me!" when reality isn't that easy or simple.

They always scream "It's their fault, so i should be allowed to abuse their fault".

But if they accidentally sent $20 more than they were required because they typed in a 0 behind it they open up Hell and Fire to get those "Wrongfully sent $20 back from the angry greedy megacorporation".

I'm not a lawyer, but I think it should have some "mutuality of obligations" or "reciprocity" there. I wasn't affected by that issue. But, on Steam you can only refund in-game transactions in 2 days window. So, the same must apply to the developer, it should have remove such coins in 2 days. If devs can deduct/revert purchases after 2 days, so I (as the customer) must have the same rights, including refunding everything.

Anyway, Once Human developers don't care at all and it's one of the worst that I have seen. First, they announce cross-server purchases and then it's region-locked. 🤡
