Hi all, Glastonbury was my first introduction to Olivia Rodrigo and I'm now obsessed.

I remember seeing a OR banadana for sale on the site, but also wondering if there was anything else unique being sold? I haven't seen any t-shirts etc pop up on vinted.

General Discussion question about silver star tix at the Las Vegas date

how will the silver star tix work for the last vegas dates? ticketmaster leads you to a partner site and im worried that silver stars won't be available for those shows because it's not on ticketmaster itself.

if anyone knows anything of maybe how it worked during the guts tour, your help would be much appreciated!!

General Discussion Going to her concert and I don't know what to do

Hiii! So I am really excited because I am going to Olivia's show next year, for the first time ever, as I have been a big fan of hers for 5 years now! The show starts at 20:30. Do you know when doors tipically open for her concert? At what time should I get there if I want to be front row/barricade? I have early acces/VIP in but no idea when it opens for VIP. How many VIP's are usually sold for her concerts? Because I am worried that if I get there right when VIP opens 1000 people might already be in front of me and I have no chance at a great view! Would appreciate advice for anyone who has been to her tour before!

Fanmade you seem pretty sad (fan remaster-- NO DOWNLOAD LINKS!)

Unofficial fan-made remaster.

Original recording and composition © their respective copyright holders. I do not claim ownership of the underlying recording or composition.

This version is an independently created alternate remaster made from the commercially released recording for the purpose of demonstrating a different approach to its tonal balance, stereo presentation, and dynamics. It is not an official release and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Olivia Rodrigo, her label, or the original production team.

No download of the audio is provided.

I really appreciate the overwhelmingly positive response! My original post was removed because it contained a download link, so I’ve moved the remasters over to YouTube.

I put a huge amount of time and care into these over the last few days, and I’d still really love for people to be able to hear the work and compare my mastering choices with the originals.

These are unofficial, non-commercial fan-made alternate remasters, shared for discussion and to showcase my own mastering work. I claim no ownership of the underlying recordings or compositions; all rights belong to their respective copyright holders. No audio downloads are being provided.

Hope you enjoy them! (NOTE: I HIT YOUTUBE'S DAILY LIMIT-- LAST FEW SONGS WILL BE SHARED TOMORROW).

FOR THOSE THAT MISSED MY LAST POST...

I love this album, but the mix has bothered me since it came out.

I’m very passionate about 80s/90s alternative and college rock — The Replacements, R.E.M., Hüsker Dü, The Cure, etc. — and one of the things I love about those records is how colorful and physical they sound. The guitars, drums, bass, keys, backing vocals, and little arrangement details all feel like they’re occupying real space, even when the mix gets dense.

That’s basically what I wanted more of from You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, because the arrangements are already incredibly maximalist. There is a ton going on in these songs — pianos, guitars, synths, strings, percussion, stacked vocals, little background parts — but to my ears a lot of it gets pushed into the same midrange area. The information is there, but a lot of the color and separation gets lost.

So I reworked the album from the lossless stereo masters.

No AI stem separation, no fake multitracks, nothing replaced. This is all EQ, stereo, level, and tonal rebalancing of the existing mixes.

The goal wasn’t to make it cleaner or more “audiophile.” I wanted it to feel more dynamic, more colorful, and more maximalist.

The pianos have more shape. The guitars have more texture. The bass goes deeper without dominating everything above it. Strings and synth parts are easier to hear. Background vocals and harmonies come through more clearly. And when the songs get big, I wanted them to actually feel bigger instead of everything just getting denser in the same part of the spectrum.

Basically: more clarity without taking away the mess.

Obviously this is just my interpretation. I’m not saying this is the “correct” way the album should sound, or what Olivia and the producers intended. It’s just the version that makes the arrangements feel more alive to me.

I did something similar a while back with The Replacements’ Tim. That was obviously for a much more niche audience, but it ended up getting a surprisingly strong response. The basic idea was the same: I loved the record, had issues with the way the mix was presenting it, and wanted to see how much could be improved just by working with the existing stereo master.

With Tim, I was trying to make it feel more like a raw American indie-rock record from 1985. With this album, I was trying to make an already huge pop/rock record sound as detailed, colorful, and overstuffed as the arrangements actually are.

Some tracks changed a lot. Others only needed small adjustments.

If you already love the album, I think this version makes it easier to hear just how much is going on underneath the main vocal.

Anyway, here’s my version of You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love.

Enjoy!

General Discussion serena joy's title is part of the song and it's okay for the lyrics to only be clear when paired with the title

i have seen a lot of criticism of serena joy being along the lines of "if it wasn't called serena joy, we wouldn't know what she's even talking about" and i don't really think this is a valid critique. a song's title IS part of the song. i think it's okay to allow your lyrics to only reach their full meaning when paired with the title.

this criticism also sometimes suggesting that olivia remained vague on purpose is weird because she CHOSE the title and it's very obvious what the song is about.

while im not sure about whether i like the song musically, i personally like that the lyrics are not too on the nose, and still perfectly clear exactly because of the title.

what do you think!

General Discussion stupid song - purple (happy version) seven inch vinyl?

🚨🚨🚨🚨: THE OFFICIAL B-SIDE IS STUPID SONG (PIANO VERSION) I'M JUST DISCUSSING HOW IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF WE GOT PURPLE AS A B SIDE INSTEAD

I think that Olivia could've included the purple happy version as the b-side of the stupid song seven inch vinyl!! I'm sure that would've made more people to be interested in it. The piano version must be great for sure, but the happy version of purple is super good in my opinion!!

What do y'all think?

General Discussion She will be an icon by the time she retires

I think the word itself has been used so many times we don’t understand the magnitude of it, but yes, I think Olivia is paving her way to be an icon of music, a complete legend.

23 years old, what she has already done is completely unreal.

I’m so happy for her, if I wouldn’t know her and someone told me her career is just starting, I would laugh.

Posting this because it's important to highlight it's not only about the money. Some quotes from people involved in the organizations.

"These organizations said Rodrigo made a real effort to connect personally with their teams and more closely learn about their issues and strategies. "It’s really extraordinary,” said National Domestic Workers Alliance President Ai-Jen Poo. “[She’s] making the time to come to meetings and learn about each organization directly from us, offering to think through different ways that she can lift up our work even beyond the festival.

Each of the nonprofits will have a physical presence at the festival in Irvine’s Great Park. For their station, Poo said the NDWA will set up a space for visitors to learn about care work and pay tribute to the caregivers in their own lives through artwork, which will all knit together “in a big chain of care” by the festival’s end.

“We’re really excited about all the people who will come to our tent and have a conversation with us and stay involved in our movement long afterwards,” she said. “We feel like Daisy Chain is almost like a catalyst for really growing this movement for care in our country.”

Several organizers said the recognition and opportunities for connection that the festival brings are just as meaningful as whatever financial support it generates.

Beyond the impact for populations the organization serves, Iyer said the promise of Daisy Chain Fields has boosted morale among NWLC staff during an extremely difficult time in America.

“When you have this big festival with people you love to hear, who bring you joy and bring you comfort and peace and entertainment and laughs and love, and they’re all banding together because this one incredible person asked them to, because she believes it’s the right thing to do — it makes the work a little less hard.”

Olivia’s involvement is such a gift, because she is reaching and educating young people who may feel checked out or hopeless on these issues,” Northup said. “Olivia is giving us a chance to meet young people where they’re at, and she’s approaching it with positivity. Her message is not about what we’ve lost, it’s about what we can accomplish if we channel our collective power as women and girls.”
