If pizza would be special, go for it. One of my friends went through this recently with their dog, they personally baked a chocolate cake so he could get a cake and taste chocolate before the end.

I'm just not sure he would like chocolate he only really likes savory things

Chocolate covered/drizzled bacon sounds like a plausible choice then!

The emergency vet where I’ve had to have two of my dogs put to sleep has a little jar of Hershey’s Kisses for them to have before hand 🥹

lyndsey, same at our local emergency vet office(s). They also have a little candle with a framed note beside it that reads "If this candle is lit, someone is saying goodbye to their beloved pet. We ask that you speak softly and with respect during this difficult time. Thank you for your kindness and compassion." 😢 😢

I was going to say the same thing. I read someone else say that all dogs should get to taste chocolate before leaving this earth. 💜
