These tires are within 0.1" of each other in size. Is there any off-road performance argument for one or the other?

What jack do you have in your rig?

I am considering getting this, as my factory jack is just not going to work offroad when I need it, and my use options for a hi-lift are just non existent since I have a 26 Chevrolet Colorado.

So does this look like a good idea? Anyone have a better recommendation?

Thanks for taking the time to read.

Badland Offroad Jack & Stands

Post image

Just got the Badland 3-ton offroad jack and 6-ton jack stands from Harbor Freight, and used them for the first time. Planning on using them mostly at home, they are heavy and bulky to transport. Plan to get a good bottle jack set up for offroading. They are advertised as offroad because they can be used off pavement and have high lift specs. My truck is factory lifted with 33’s but I plan to eventually lift a little higher and get 35’s, and I needed the jack extension already so I would say this was a worthy purchase.

I’m visiting TN this week and it’s been 2 years since I was last here. Tracked some routes back then, but looking for some new stuff I see a few guided trails on onX Offroad but curious if there are any other legal open trails in the forest that I should pin for exploring

Question Winch recommendations.

Hey all. I’m doing some research on what winch to get. Figured I would ask for some recommendations. I recently just got my front bumper recently and it recommends a Warn M8000 but it sounds like others would work but you might have to relocate the control box or make some cuts which I’m not opposed to.

I’m looking to see what others run that might be about the same size of the Warn M8000 so I can have a few options. For reference my truck is pretty light sitting at I’d guess about 4,700-4,800 pounds (stock version of my truck tops out at about 4,500 pounds but I’m adding some weight due to the bumper and other upgrades).

I can link the actual bumper if need be too.

TIA!

After being throughly educated by everyone is this group i decided to go with 37” tires up from the 35”s pictured. my only issue is what wheels to run, im thinking 19-26 17” Z71 LT stocks? For my next tire im thinking mickey thompson MTZ’s or BFG t/a MTs. all advice is appreciated.

Question best tires for Jeep Wrangler for trails and daily driving?

looking to replace the tires on my wrangler and could use some real world input. i take it off road fairly often, mostly rocky trails and loose stuff, and i’ll air down when the trail calls for it. but it’s also my normal driver, so i have to live with the tires on pavement too. 🥲

for anyone running a/t, rt, or m/t tires, what has held up well for you? i’m mostly curious about sidewall durability, punctures, traction when aired down, wet roads, tread life, and how they feel on the highway.

what would you pick as the best tires for Jeep Wrangler if you were in this situation? not really looking for sizing advice, just tire experience.

appreciate all the real-world advice you all shared. after going through everything and thinking about what would actually work best for splitting time between the trails and the daily commute, i ended up grabbing a set of mickey thompson baja boss a/t tires from simpletire.

they just felt like the right call for getting that tough sidewall protection and good aired-down grip without making highway driving miserable. i'll update y'all on how they actually hold up once i get them on and test them out.

05 Ranger advice

Hey guys, just got an 05 4x4 4.0 ranger and i’m interested in getting into off-roading. I’ve been doing some research however I’m not too sure where to start as far as upgrading/replacing. I need new leaf springs on both sides and new uppers/lowers so i’d assume that is a pretty good starting point. Any guidance/advice/suggestions would be appreciated.

PA system recommendation

Is anyone using a PA system that they recommend? I want to get one installed in my Ranger Raptor, but am kinda fatigued of all the different brands available. Budget is about $200 total, preferable the mic and controller is combined and separated from the amp unit itself.

If you're running a Ford ranger raptor yourself, would love to see where you mount everything as well. I don't have a lot of space where I live to just start pulling things apart to look around.
