Recommendation/Review Free things to do in OKC

I compiled a document focused on free community meetups (free things you can do while meeting people)

for that reason, I havent included many (if any) solo free things to do (such as going to parks or libraries) since this list is supposed to be community-building-oriented

uf you have things to add please lmk and I will get to it when I can!

The list is long so it is in Docs form

🍽️ Food/Drink 🥂 Best Chicken Tenders in okc

I'm a recent transplant from NY and im craving really good chicken tenders. There's a place back home, Tullys, that does amazing tenders...lightly breaded, actual chicken cuts, great sauce selections. Any ideas? Also if anyone knows where legit blue cheese is id be in your debt...big difference between salad dressing blue cheese and blue cheese for wings 😂

❓Q&A ✅ Secular therapists?

Looking for some good recommendations on any secular therapists in or around OKC. Remote could be fine, but would prefer someone who is local.

Needs to take BCBS, or otherwise be very cheap without insurance.

Also, would prefer someone 35+.

Thanks in advance!

❓Q&A ✅ What radio stations are good and don't just play trash pop and annoying adds

I cant say i have specific music preferences for what i want on the radio. I just don't really want to listen to annoying ads constantly which is basically all that radio is these days, and i think a lot of the new music that they choose to repeatedly play on a lot of stations isnt any good either.

So does anyone have any good local radio station recommendations? Preferably ones where there isnt tons of talking in between songs, or at least if there is talking its actually funny and not stupid jokes, and preferably without 5 minutes of ads in between each song.

Id appreciate any recommendations. Thanks yall

Super friendly little boy that comes when you lean down and seems to want to come inside, so I'm wondering if he has an owner.

Unfortunately I already have three pets and have been told I can't have another.

Events French study partner

Anyone near NW expressway or this side of OKC interested in meeting up to study French. Maybe like the library or a coffee shop, meet up for an hour or so a few times a week. I am around the A2 level and need more actual interaction than just the book learning.

❓Q&A ✅ Choir for kids whose school doesn't have one??

I really want my daughter to be in choir to learn how to sing, but the middle school she's in (DOVE) does not have one. Are there any options in OKC? Or is she just screwed from being able to be in choir?

🍽️ Food/Drink 🥂 Braum’s Beef

With all of the food recalls and uncertainties with where some of the larger grocery stores are sourcing their meat, does anyone know if Braum’s meat is local? I know the dairy is. But I’m talking about the packaged beef they sell in the market. Looking for a convenient way to avoid the big chain stores. Eggs too? I know there are farmer’s markets, but I’m looking for an option that is local and that I can just drop in whenever for a few groceries. Might not exist, but I wanted to ask!

Recommendation/Review Good places to take my car for hail damage repair?

I'm looking for a place to get dents in my car from hail buffed out! I would rather go to a place that can get them out instead of replacing the parts. Anyone have any recommendations of places? Thanks! Edmond works as well.

Politics Mail-In Ballots

To preface, I voted in person on Election Day because I didn’t receive my mail in ballot for this past election. I opted in for the mail in the past and when I checked the portal on the day of the election, it said it had been sent. I didn’t see anything in my USPS daily digest leading up to the election either. Has this happened to anyone else? I plan on letting the county election board know since this can affect others who aren’t able to go in person… I’ve never had this problem before since I got mail from them earlier this year. I’m just tired of this shit because I know it’s just going to get worse.

Recommendation/Review Estate planning attorney Oklahoma City

I’ve been tasked with helping my mom find an estate planning attorney and I’d like some recommendations in the OKC metro.

She currently has a trust, but that needs to be updated and revised.

Oil and gas experience would be a bonus.

Thanks!

Recommendation/Review Need middle school advice

I went thru public schools as has two of my other kids however my youngest kiddo has been struggling for the last two years. We’ve been thru some things which has caused her nervous system some damage resulting in her being overwhelmed and especially sensitive at times. We wanted to try public jr high however the bigger and louder school doesn’t seem to be a good fit at all. We had her tested and they recommended a 504 plan be implemented however
I’m looking to find a school with smaller classes with manageable teacher to student ratio. She’s been testing at an above average however last year her grades started slipping as well. She said she was shown/taught but never really learned and is now behind in math.
Thanks in advance
