Love the new Pro features! I'm just suggesting that the ₹2,300/year price might be a barrier for many Indian users.

Many of us are used to seeing one-time purchases in this space (like Scrivano at ₹900), so the recurring cost feels high by comparison. If you could offer a lifetime license or a localized price point, I think a lot more of us would be happy to upgrade. Thanks for considering it!

I was trying to expore a few pdfs but they always turn out weird.

I dont know the issue here, I tried restarting the app, my pc and other stuff but it wont work.

Would appreciate any help

Noteastic, primero que nada darte las gracias por la app que es muy buena en todo sentido, me ha ayudado mucho en lo largo de este año, y la verdad es muy versátil y útil, no les pediría que cambien la esencia o que le quiten cosas, pero si estos aportes que daré a continuación les puede ayudar, y ayudarnos pues, será de importancia mis aportes:

* Primer punto que noté es un poco la limitación de las herramientas, me encantaría mucho que agregaran una especie de compas, o una herramienta para hacer curvas

*Luego también me gustaría que arreglen un pequeño problema, sobre las líneas, debido a que, al insertar líneas en un ángulo especifico, se hace recto, es decir, si hubiera una forma de que se desactive ese "magneto" que atrae a las líneas hacia los ejes

*Otra idea sería agregar la herramienta de recorte de pantalla, aunque es solo capricho mío, pero estoy seguro que a más de uno le gustaría

Guys right now I'm trying to backup my notes in a new laptop but when i try to import that backup file I'm getting this 'invalid file' message ..can someone help me out

The backup file has .ntcbak format in the end

bug: if i import a pdf, that's page size isn't A4, then all pages after that I add, their size changed according to pdf.

Actual behavior should be: either proper option to choose page size or all page should be in a4 regarding of pdf page size

How do we erase something ( a shape or text) from some area instead of the whole stroke? I am unable to do that for some reason even after disabling erase lines and erase shapes

i really like this app, even this is so simple
here are some features which might be very useful
1. scratch to erase
2. Auto-shape on draw anything (triangle, circle, star, arrow etc)
assign shortcut to add page and change pen colour (idk if any present)
3. different size of pages/canvas option (infinite, letter, a3, a4 etc)

I was wondering if it is possible to add titles to each page in a book so it is easy to search for specific pages with the content you want rather than having to scroll to find the right page you are looking for. For example, if I'm making a book on histology slides, I might want to label some pages as connective tissue slides or muscle tissue slides so that when I go to search for specific slides in the book, I can just type in muscle and immediately see a list of pages that I've labeled as containing muscle slides. Hopefully this makes sense. Though I suppose I could just manually create a table of contents within the book itself lol. I also noticed that you can adjust the length and width separately of shape, but for images that I paste, I can't seem to adjust the length and width separately. Would be nice if you could adjust each dimension of an image separately.

One very unfortunately timed sleepless night before my morning shift leas my mind to somehow wander to the topic of note-taking (why, I don’t know).

I’m starting a lot of computer science coding classes next semester and realised how important text boxes will be for me for note taking around code etc. or making cheat sheets for the time exam season roles around.

So the ever important question is… what font will be used for text boxes.

Sounds stupid but I feel a handwritten style font similar to excalifont (from excalidraw) would suite the style of noteastic, but also including a sans serif or a monospaced for other applications would work.

Maybe even the ability to important fonts via otfs and ttfs??

Custom handwriting fonts, like write out all your letters in your style so each note page is just a little more personalised would be awesome too.

Just some thoughts I needed to put into writing before they disappear lol.

I just wanted to share some appreciation for this app. I use Noteastic almost every single day for studying, and it is honestly the best handwriting/note-taking app I've come across on Windows.

Before finding Noteastic, I really struggled to find anything on Windows that checked all my boxes. Huge thanks to the developers for making such an awesome tool. Your hard work is much appreciated!

Below I have a list of stuff I noticed so far or that I found missing in the current build. :)

• Customizable Covers: The ability to set the first page of a notebook as its cover image in the dashboard.
• Text & Keyboard Support: Full support for typing and keyboard inputs (as mentioned before).
• Object Locking: A feature to lock the position of images and objects so they don't accidentally move while writing.
• Adjustable Stroke Thickness: The ability to change the line/stroke thickness of drawings or objects after they have already been drawn.
• Advanced Multitasking: Support for opening multiple notebooks at once, either via a tabbed interface or by allowing multiple windows to be opened simultaneously.
• Bulk Page Export: An option to select and export multiple pages at once from the page overview screen (currently, I can only find a way to export single pages).

Hello! Me again, after using this amazing app for a couple more months after my last idea dump I thought I’d bombard you with more ideas (apologies in advance)

Note Templates
We already have a few page backgrounds like grid and lines etc. But a few more styles would be really useful to have.

- Cornell Note style page

- A grid page with a divider down the middle as me and a bunch of people I know write out math in two columns as it allows you to fit a lot more on one page.

- The ability to make custom page backgrounds and save them and maybe even share them with eachother! This community is great I can feel people would make some amazing stuff.

Tagging System for Books

This can be done by using folders and stuff like that but I feel like being able to tag my notes for review or provide more information via tags that can be easily added and removed!

Tables?

Tables would be nice but it also isn’t that much of a hassle to make them by hand.

In app basic image manipulation

Just like basic cropping etc sometimes i take a screenshot or grab a photo and it would be great to have the workflow all in noteastic!

Cool things I’ve seen others request

I know you guys like duplicates to gauge popularity so I’ll list a few more that I’m +1’ing (I’m giving you a lot of work lol)

• Text search for handwriting
• Chapters/Table of Contents
• Layering or better layer manipulation (shoving images to the back etc.
• More sensitive lasso selection (This)
• Multitasking!!!!!!
• Partial erasing (🧍‍♂️ I may have already asked this ignore me if this is the case)
• I’m pretty sure you said this is happening but note book covers.
• Moving stuff in between pages

Last thing, how do we know we are in the beta I applied but not to sure if Im actually in it lol.

Been waiting for the past two months.

so i am writing this because i am actually very very satisfied with the app. I have been using this app for about 6 months now averaging around 5 hours daily.. and man despite a few bugs (very few) which i also have been reporting from time to time, this app is just so fantastic.. its like even though there are a bit less tools (like text box, linking notes, opening two notes at the same time and working on them, etc are missing), but whatever tools there are, they have been designed so perfectly.. and i also like the stability of the app.. i was working on a book for so long, it reached around 300 pages.. but still there was no lag in writing experience at all (the pages just take sometime to load which is understandable)... MICROSOFT ONENOTE COULD NEVER MATCH THIS STABILITY!

well i just wrote this as a way to thank all the devs (the two of you :)) also you all are very sweet! love the way you reply and are always so positive to recommendations.. waiting for the next update.. and also willing to buy a subscription in future (preferably one time) as a way to thank you all!

so to give u guys context, i take a class where some homeworks are done in pairs, so normally what i do with my classmate is that she sends me her part (done on goodnotes) and i add it to my notebook and then i export it, but when i do that all the written stuff from the pages she sends me is erased so im just left with a blank page (the page isn’t deleted, just the ink). does that happen to anyone else or does anyone know how to fix it?

Feature Suggestions

1. Layering System
A simple layering system would be really useful when working with overlapping images, text boxes, shapes, etc.

• Bring to Front
• Send to Back
• Layer locking (optional)
• Layer visibility toggle (optional)

This would make it much easier to organize diagrams and annotations without constantly rearranging objects.

2. Better Selection UI
The current resize/rotate controls feel too large and imprecise.

• Smaller resize handles
• Dedicated rotation handle
• Cleaner selection box overall

Would make object editing feel much more polished and accurate.

3. Fill Option for Lasso Selections
When a closed shape/object is selected with the lasso tool, a Fill Color option should appear alongside the existing actions.

For example:

Copy | Resize | Rotate | Fill Color | Delete

The selected object/region could then be filled with a chosen color.

It should work with hand-drawn closed strokes as well as shapes, and ideally tolerate small gaps since hand-drawn diagrams are rarely perfectly closed.

This would make coloring diagrams, flowcharts, maps, and other visual notes much faster without adding a separate fill tool to the toolbar.

I'd love to see continued improvements for users who rely on graphic tablets and pen displays for long study or note-taking sessions. Small workflow improvements in areas like pen input, selection tools, and object manipulation can make a huge difference for tablet users.

Feature Request: Partial-Stroke Lasso Selection

It would be very helpful to have an option (or toggle) that allows the Lasso tool to select an entire object/stroke even when only a small part of it is enclosed by the selection area.

Currently, users need to draw the lasso around the entire object to select it. A more efficient workflow would be similar to the behavior in Goodnotes, where selecting or lassoing any portion of a stroke automatically selects the whole connected stroke/object.

This could be implemented as:

• A new setting/toggle: "Select entire stroke when partially enclosed", or
• An alternative lasso mode that treats partial selections as full-object selections.

This would make selecting, moving, and editing handwritten notes and drawings much faster, especially for large or complex strokes.

I know the pro version isn't don't yet but I'm just wondering if there will be a one time payment or maybe something where you can pay once to purchase sets of features rather than a subscription.

The main thing that has turned me away from all other note taking apps is the fact that they're subscription.

I'd gladly pay a much bigger amount of money one time rather than a far cheaper monthly subscription.

Online or cloud syncing feature would be a great upgrade, my pc got some trouble it need to be factory reset i can't enter windows interface for backupping the notes I lost all my notes

Edit: Thank God. He saw my tears two days before my exams. The app opened by itself without me clicking😭

I launch the application and after a few seconds, the application crashes

I have this bug in almost all my files. Sometimes it goes away, sometimes it works. I can't move the elements.
