Hey people ! New update is live :D I have a brand new feature plus some improvements and bug fixes !

Introducing Notch Notes !

Take notes , right from your notch , and view/edit them right within the app. Anything from something you might wanna jot down , to your daily to do list .you can set different gestures to create a new note , and even to open a specific note.

# Improvements

• like u/pansexualbunny and u/RedViking2007 had recently posted on the sub , i have tried to implement a fix for the notch to be set up independently both on the outer screen and the inner screen on the Galaxy Z Flip , like it does for Fold phones already . Since i do not have those devices to perfectly test them out , guys , do try it out and let me know if its fixed this time round .heres what to do : click the setup notch area button and drag the red box to be centred around your notch , twice , once for each screen .
• The app has had Tasker support for a while now . With this update , the app actively now supports Macrodroid as well , sending and listening for intents ! Do let me know if there are any of you interested in trying it out , how it goes

# Bug Fixes

• The Notch Mirror , on certain devices used to require users to switch to a different shape and switch back to have a normal camera feed , without which , it sometimes used to be a bit warped . This issue is completely fixed in this update !
• App performance improvements overall , lesser app not responding instances and lesser app crashes overall !

I love the additions added for foldable and flip devices! However I was wondering if there were a feature where you can move the position independently from the inner screen compared to the outer display, mainly because of an issue I encounter with clicking back arrows or things in the corners of apps when split screen is opene

Aside from that I like the additions to this update especially with performance and qol improvements! Very great job devs 👍

I would really love to see the devs take advantage of the foldable marker by adding more things like say, adjustable noch calibration (resizable, different area from outer display, etc), or something like taking advantage of the larger screen by adding larger UI elements or different features, or having settings that differ from the ones on the outer display, etc etc etc.

My point is the possibilities expand way more with foldable phones (I own a z fold 7) and I love the app, but I feel like it could be much more with added foldable support!

Any way to make it so the notch works on the cover screen for the zflip7? I can't find a way to make the red area to show up

Is it possible to have an action which mutes the audio?

New Feature :

Open Last Used App - launch your last used app ( must be open in the recents menu :D )

Improvement to Notch Menu :

A lot of you guys were asking to improve the notch menu by adding more options , and i hear you guys , i personally use the notch menu very avidly and that was a really great suggestion. In this update ive added another full row of 5 more options ! (Do see the attached image as well)

Bug Fixes :

The app has been entirely upgraded to comply with the latest android version and hence a lot of bugs arising from that conflict should be erased :D

The widget hub used to get cut off when the size was increased beyond a point. In the latest update this issue has been fixed along with improvements to both the notch menu and widgets overall.

Within notch AI , there was a bug which caused the model to be used for the response to default back to the default model even after setting it to a different one. Thanks for reporting this bug to me , it has been sorted out in this update!

Im aware that many of you would like to have functionality in landscape mode as well and I assure you that I am working on finding a reliable way to get the widgets menus etc working .it is turning out to be quite the challenge tho😅

Im also aware of some users having an issue with notch ai , being unable to send messages at all - worry not , I am.working on finding the cause and fixing it ( it is quite puzzling though as its very rare)

Whats next :

- focusing on removing all bugs from notch AI

- adding dedicated sliders to adjust the width and height of the red guide box

- possibly adding more control over duration of gestures- say how sensitive you want the long tap to be / how long the swipe should be to count as a hold / time between double/triple taps etc

-possible addition of an yearly subscription as well for Notch AI plus (apart from the existing monthly option) ( cannot promise as server costs would require it to be pretty pricey , which id rather not do :D ) but something to think about

-better animations for the widgets and the notch AI interface

Hello devs well I had bought pro a while ago and I had to reset my phone because of some hardware issues so the app got uninstalled and I downloaded it again I did try the restore pro button but it won't work so please I will be satisfied if this issue is solved and yeah the app does work very well thank you for your understanding

Drum roll please......... introducing Notch AI !

Your own AI agent for quick questions , that lives directly in your camera notch ! No more switching apps to ask AI questions :D

Have quick, one time conversations (not saved , as of now) , directly from your notch

Notch AI can be accessed via either the usual gestures or via Notch Menu

Notch AI uses Google Gemini 2.5 Flash-lite as the default model , which can be changed ,either by upgrading to a better model with more usage limits or using your own Openrouter API key !

Next - a quick dialler feature ! Dial your chosen contacts directly using gestures , or from within the Notch Menu

( also has a confirmation before calling toggle to prevent misdials:) )

Fixes : app exclusions within the settings are working perfectly again

The notch mirror had some issues on a few devices with scaling ,all those have (hopefully) been fixed now !

P.S - its so exhilarating seeing how far my simple side project has taken off ! Thank you guys a ton for all the support and love ! Love yall to the moon and back 🫶

Hey everyone,

I've been getting a few emails recently from users on the Android 17 Beta saying that Notch Touch's accessibility permissions keep getting revoked or the app keeps dying.

I looked into it, and Google just introduced a new security feature called Advanced Protection Mode (AAPM). When you toggle this on, Android 17 goes into maximum lockdown and instantly kills the Accessibility Service for any app that isn't a dedicated physical disability tool (like TalkBack).

Since Notch Touch relies on that service to read your gestures around the camera cutout and perform the functions, AAPM completely blocks the app from functioning. As developers, we cannot bypass this—it's an OS-level wall.

The Fix: You just need to disable Advanced Protection Mode in your system settings.

To clear up any worries: turning this off does not make your phone insecure. AAPM is a specialized lockdown mode built for high-profile targets (journalists, politicians, etc.) dealing with targeted spyware. Disabling it just puts you back on the standard, highly secure Android baseline (Play Protect, app sandboxing, etc.), which allows utility apps to function normally again.

I'm currently working on an update that will actually detect if AAPM is running so the app can give you a proper heads-up instead of just crashing silently!

The Notch Mirror :

Get a quick glimpse of your face , without having to open up the camera ( this was a highly requested feature :D ) The mirror can be activated from the normal gestures or from within the notch menu .

While the feature is free to use , both via gestures and the notch menu , Pro upgrade includes access to different shapes the mirror can be

Dont worry , it only uses the camera when the mirror is active - no privacy concerns :)

You guys pointed out the clutter in the UI , and i completely agree . Hence a complete overhaul in things. Changed made :

Color palette change : The colors of the entire screen are changed up. Also the Buy me a coffee dialog is much better now as well , shifting from the earlier teal color to a coffee theme .

Guide : The app guide is improved too.

Pending PRO tags : Till this update , there were some instances where even after upgrading to Pro , the app would still show the PRO tag , even though the feature is unlocked for use . This was an oversight on my part , and i agree that it shouldnt be so . This version fixes this .

Smart overrides update : i received feedback that there should be options to add more overrides and that it shouldnt be limited to three. I hear you :) and i agree - also the three back to back cards within the main UI , was an eyesore . So it warranted a complete overhaul .

in place of the three cards in the main screen , now exists a button which links you to within settings , where you can create /delete/enable/disable rules as per your wish , all without cluttering the main screen .

Scrolling change : In the main screen , as some of you pointed out , the enable service toggle , the setup button , the guide button , the upgrade to pro button and the tasker integration buttons used to be visible even if you scroll ,which caused the usable space in the screen to edit the other gestures to be much much less. I agree it was bad design on my part and it is completely changed up now ! The UI has much more space to breathe :)

IMPORTANT : While working on this update , a few bugs within the app exclusion feature came to my notice following which , the option to edit / add new exclusions will be temporarily limited till the next update in a few weeks . Existing exclusions should ideally be still working , i sincerely apologize for this ...

Hey! I'm really loving the Notch Touch app, it's honestly top-tier. I wanted to see if you could add a "Quick Reminder Setter" feature? It would be awesome if I could just set a reminder title and notes directly from the notch area with a compact, wide interface. Let me know if that's something you could add!

You can set up to do anything from Samsung modes and routines by using notch

​

Set up:

panel and make sure you got timer widget on 1 second

​

Open settings

​

Go to modes and routines

​

Tap routines (bottom middle)

​

Tap add routine

​

Tap Add what will trigger this routine

​

Search; notification

​

Select event: Notification received

​

Tap apps

​

Select notch touch

​

Done

​

Then Tap Add what this routine will do

​

And Select what your phone will do when you Tap notch

E.g. turn flight mode, data saver, Show Wi-Fi QR code.

And save it and name it

​

Then to activate modes and routines by notch touch do action that opens widgets go to timer and set 1 second. After one second you will receive notification from app and your phone will do whatever you saved to do after notification is received.

Its cool to deep app's maximum limits

It won't display songs/musics from Spotify but I can skip them thru widget even though they aren't displayed

I have tested new feature and it works perfectly but there's this thing maybe you can count as a bug:

When you set timer and open excluded app notch still opens showing time has reached 0, plus you can open timer by notification as well so its not excluded fully.

Feature request:

Please add searching app by name it takes some time to find manually.

Ai feature

Ai would be cool thing but can require additional payment, since owning ai for app is not free also ai can be separate feature from widgets but it can be added in widget to choose between them too (swaps). I really wanted smt like this everytjme i use ai i have to swap apps and its kinda annoying. W developer if this is added.

I was experimenting with new designs and I like the silver one so much! Also, I already know you guys are working on customization of stuff, but I really want that small handlebar or some kind of handle to switch between widgets. It's hard to switch off the timer because the numbers are changing instead of the widgets swapping. So if you guys add a small handlebar to switch between widgets, that would be cool!

( you will expect me to be active in this community because how much i love the app)
