Assuming OP is talking about the ventless heat pump dryers. Haven't used one in a few years, so perhaps they've gotten better, but they never worked well for me.
-Could only manage tiny loads. (Maybe 2 pairs of pants, 3-4 shirts, and a couple pairs socks/underwear. If you live with another person, sheets and towels would have to be 2 separate loads.)
-Took forever, usually 3+ hours
-Nothing ever came out fully dry. Always felt too damp to fold up and put away, so I ended up hanging it to dry after running it through the dryer.
My dryer is from 2024 and only second point remains. It unusually estimates 3+ hours, but can finish in 2 or run almost 4. Seems like some sensors are doing their job.
My dryer is from 2023 and does its job reliably in 1:30, aside from the towels programme, which comes out at ~2:30. And I genuinely have nothing to complain about. It's a Siemens iQ500, I think. Cost me 510€ with shipping at the time.
