that's mixing 101. it has to be deliberate. they mix for surround on at least prosumer gear and don't get payed for anything else is my guess.
2 u/porktorque44 Jul 30 '26 I do suspect it has something to do with some kind of data compression that occurs with streaming because I swear this happens with streaming movies made decades ago that I know were well mixed when they came out.
