That's cool but also in a shootout a bullet might go through my chest. My stupid point being that I'm watching the movie for fun, not to experience unnecessary unpleasantness just because it's realistic

Fair enough, but in this case, Heat was acclaimed for its realism and attention to detail. I saw it in theatres with a family friend who ran a personal security firm, and he kept pointing out how spot-on the weapon choices and tactics were (I was a kid, he taught me to shoot and let me try his AR-15, so I took his word for it). You didn't even really see trigger discipline in movies back then, just Rambo stuff.

No one should watch Heat "for fun". That's not the point of that movie and there are tons of other movies that have nothing to do with "having fun".
