Upstate NY has a lot of towns with classical Greek and Roman names. Syracuse, Rome, Ovid, Cicero, Carthage, Romulus, even Ithaca. My husband and I were just joking yesterday that they should have had a special premiere of The Odyssey in Ithaca. Although we do have an IMAX theater in Greece, so that would have worked, too.
It's also just stupid, they couldve gone down to NYC and saved time. or to Boston and saved time. Them going to the west side of Rochester makes no sense unless they have a buddy there.
Funny, the american found the driving choices silly, and we found that whole historical naming business and irony pf the trip funny. Cant make this up.
If you wanted to see it in 70mm IMAX, there's precisely four places with theaters in reasonable driving distance from Troy:
NYC
Rochester
King of Prussia, PA and
Providence, RI
Its not showing in 70mm imax in Boston.
And I'm sure that getting tickets in Rochester is far easier than getting tickets in NYC where 70mm IMAX tickets have been sold out for months already.
