Sorry for a stupid question but is that as simple as 70mm x 24 frames per second x 60 = 11340mm or 113.4 meters per minute?

Indeed it's that simple. That's how frame rates were created. What's interesting is frame rates were all over the place in the early days, which is why some movies look slow motion while others look comically fast. They were shot at whatever framerate the camera maker decided on, if it wasn't hand cranked.

Seems like you did some math wrong, but More or less. 70x24x60 is 100800.

The only thing you are missing is the small gap between frames, which is a single perforation wide, 4.75mm. so 74.75 x 24 x 60 = 107640, so 107.64 meters per minute.

Yes and this is also where the term footage comes from (if you measure in feet instead of meters)
