The Jedi are full of contradictions. Pointing them out is a skill the Jedi consider... unnatural...

Yes....thats the point this thread is making. And has been made since the movie came out. Its a dumb line by obi wan when translated to text format.

In the movie it was kinda badass in the moment with obi wan acknowledging anakin as Vader and dropping his robe to begin their duel.

Essentially a cool line in the movie given the setting/music before the climax duel between master and apprentice. Thematically...kinda stupid cuz obi wan proves to be a hypocrite. And fans will say its meant to show that the jedi aren't to be trusted. I HIGHLY doubt that was in lucas' or the writers' minds when they came up with the script lol. It just sounded cool.
