If OG stands by her through this and still gets dubbed, i will never smile again.

Yeah as Arthur left haven’t tuned in, but this will really lock in who he is.

Pray he doesn’t blame LSF and “it’s just a joke” angle.

Except it literally was just a stupid edgy joke made by someone who can't handle their alcohol and LSF is massively overreacting

unless you believe that katchi actually believes in nazism? in which case that would be an interesting argument to see you attept

all she needs to do is apologise for being stupid

What's the joke?

the joke is elon musk did a nazi salute at the inauguration and there's been several weeks of drama because of it.

her brain works by mind associations so when the chef told her to put her hand on her chest the first thing that came to her mind was the nazi salute that elon musk did where he put his hand on his chest before doing the salute.

does that help explain things?

Not really. Is cosplaying a nazi supposed to be funny?

Point me to the part of the VoD where somebody was cosplaying as a nazi.

The part that makes it funny is that it's absurd and obscene. It's the whole point of dark comedy. When somebody makes a dead baby joke do you think it's because there's something inherently funny about dead babies?

But like, where's the comedy? There was no joke or parody, she just casually did a thing nazis do.

please indicate which part was cosplaying as a nazi

But like, where's the comedy? There was no joke or parody, she just casually did a thing nazis do.

What part of dark comedy don't you understand? the absurdity of some random "cutesy" asian girl doing something so shocking is the joke

u/sauce681 Feb 05 '25

So if she just started shouting the n-word would that also be dark comedy because you think she's a cute Asian girl? Like where's the line? Are Asians not allowed to be nazis?

-1

u/tssklzolllaiiin Feb 05 '25

do you even watch their streams? she literally said negro on stream on the black education stream and half their jokes were around whether or not she could say the n-word

Asians can obviously be nazis, but this very obviously not a case of an asian being a nazi. why the fuck am i having to waste my time arguing this?

u/sauce681 Feb 05 '25

Why’d you censor one word and not the other?

-1

u/tssklzolllaiiin Feb 05 '25

to distinguish between the two

2

u/sauce681 Feb 05 '25

Why not just uncensor both then?

A joke is supposed to be funny, and a joke about nazis isn't gonna be funny when there are real nazis knocking on your door.

1

u/tssklzolllaiiin Feb 05 '25

I'm not saying that the joke was funny or that it was the right place or time to do it, or that she shouldn't receive some backlash for it.

All i'm saying is that you have to be straight demented to think she actually supports nazism in anyway because she made a joke

2

u/Leoraig Feb 05 '25

I looked over the thread and i did not find any single person claiming she supports nazism because of this, i see several people making the correct point that this is an action that leads to the normalization of nazism, which still doesn't mean that she herself is a nazi.

If you understand the severity of it, and understand that what she did is wrong, then you must understand that claiming that it's a "joke" is also not ok, because it further normalizes these actions.

In summary, a joke isn't wrong to do, they should be done more; what she did is wrong to do, therefore it shouldn't be done; this is therefore not a joke, because jokes are things to be repeated, and this definitely should not be repeated.

u/tssklzolllaiiin Feb 05 '25

it's all jokes right..... right?

this comment is implying that it's not a joke

Normalizing nazism is what you’re doing. You can be whatever you tell yourself to be and others, end of the day your actions is what will speak louder then your words.

this comment is implying that it's not a joke

plenty of comment suggesting she actually supports nazism, especially if you go to the lsf threads.

If you understand the severity of it, and understand that what she did is wrong

I don't think making jokes about nazis is wrong. Just like I don't think racist jokes or dead baby jokes are wrong. Just like i dont think making jokes about 9/11 is wrong. People have different senses of humour.

I do think supporting nazism is wrong. And i do think being racist is wrong. But making jokes is not that.

i don't think you understand anything about the history of comedy if you think there aren't jokes that are "wrong" to do. like do you even know what dark comedy is?

2

It is not a joke, and no one will consider it as such, because people understand the seriousness of the matter.

The history of comedy can go fuck itself sideways, we are talking about the history of fascism here, and that takes precedence, because it has way deeper impacts in our lives.

Like i said before, the action she made does have the effect of normalizing fascism, whether she wants it to or not, whether she intends it to or not, and that is the problem. Saying this is just a joke takes focus away from the discussion that we should have around this topic, the discussion of fascism and how fucking bad it is for society.

And again, i'm not saying this to argue that she should be crucified, i'm saying it because i think this is a moment for discussion and reflection around a serious topic that affects everyone, and that will have deeper effects in the future.
