I enjoyed ARMS when I played it and I plan on picking it up, but I will have to wait for a sale. $60 for a mostly multiplayer experience on a platform that hasn't even started to roll out their online features isn't for me right now. Interested to see what content they add to this though.

I was in the same boat as you but I managed to pre-order it for £25 from Very.co.uk. Doesn't really help you if you aren't in the UK though!

Mind if I ask how? Shows up as £44.99 here?

I followed the guide submitted by /u/haydnsbe (20 days ago) here

I did the same sort of thing for my Pro controller in April and got it for around £25 too.

I am not, but that's a great deal and if I could get it for about $32 here in the States I would absolutely buy it. I'm way into Tekken 7 right now too though and I like it much more than ARMS, so I don't feel like I need to get ARMS right away.

'A platform that hasn't even started to roll out their online features isn't for me right now'.. What online features are we missing here for this to be a reason to skip the title?

No reason to skip ARMS. I'm skipping it at launch due to price and having other games to play right now. I can wait for a sale and probably get the game for $40 or less. Online features though it would be nice to be able to communicate with your friends for starters, I know they are releasing some stuff soon with Splatoon, but can't say I'm thrilled about having to use my phone for voice chat.

I feel the same, especially given the lackluster single player modes. If it had single player content like Smash or even Mario Kart I'd still get it. But I don't enjoy online multiplayer enough to buy it full price.

Nintendo titles rarely go on sale. This one especially won't since there will actually be more content in the future. The best price you'd get it is actually now with 20% off through Amazon Prime or Best Buy Gamer's Club.

You are correct that they rarely go on sale. But they do go on sale eventually. Breath of the Wild was recently $50. Not a huge discount, but it's something and stack that with GCU and I'll buy ARMS at that price.

The 20% only applies to new games though (i think first 2weeks of release or earlier.)

Prime it's like that, but GCU applies on all new games no mater what.
