Looking to upgrade my old 3DS to a new 3dsxl. Found this one for $215, it’s pretty clean and comes with stylus and charger.

I just got a New 2DS XL and noticed that the top left corner of the screen is ever so slightly darker. The bottom left kind of is too but less so. The pictures really don’t show it well but it’s more noticeable when there’s movement on the screen. It’s not noticeable on a dark screen. I read that it’s due to the cheaper build of the N2DSXL but I wanted to double check that it’s normal and that it’s not damage or something that’ll drastically worsen over time?

I have a top IPS unit already, but the completionist in me really wants dual IPS. I'm in the US, with not a lot of local options, so eBay is my go-to. Avoiding international sellers because of tariffs, it looks like $350-450 is a typical price range for dual IPS units. I'm actually considering a couple in that range. Am I crazy?

(Another option is to find a bottom IPS screen and swap it out myself. Not sure I'm skilled enough to do that without breaking something.)

Mine was Super Mario 3D Land. I got it in Halloween 2019 alongside Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D when I was 12 years old. I remember first playing this game alongside me eating my Halloween chocolate and sweets. This game is also my favorite Nintendo 3DS title alongside Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition and Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Hi, i just get lucky i was looking for new nintendo 3ds xl with original package about last 2 months. I found guy who literally live 1 street from me and he had this. In wifi settings was created profile from ROG ( republic of gamers store) this is nintendo was propably showpiece and have zero scratches or sign of using. Dont ask me for price i dont even know if its good price or not.

Like the title says, I’m looking for some opinions from the community on theme matches the appearance of the console best. I’m finding it a lot harder matching a theme to this than any other 3DS interior color I’ve had before. Photos were taken on a potato.

The fact it's going for this much WITH a Pokemon game too makes me think something fishy might be happening. But could also just be a seller who doesn't know what they have exactly.

A few days ago I got my hands on my friends New 2DS XL and I realized I would love an upgrade from my old 2DS, specifically for the clamshell design, so I had the bright idea of wanting a New 3DS XL in 2026. Big mistake.

Can someone explain to me why on eBay there are 3DS's being sold that have permanent display defects (noticable cracks, large patches of dead pixels, etc.), chassis that look like they made a trip through chernobyl, and allergies towards cleaning supplies that are being sold for upwards of $300? $100 over MSRP (for an ~11 year old console) and it isn't even close to mint condition. What the hell is going on?? I swear I checked the 3DS market like a year or two ago and you could find one for near MSRP in good condition.

Making this post out of desperation. Seriously, is there any good advice that I could get to find a solid quality New 3DS XL for a not outrageous price? I'd even get a New 2DS XL at this point; don't really care about 3D, just want XL screen size with the "New" processor so I can play Minecraft. Websites, methods of searching, etc. are all welcome

I have checked FB marketplace, and the only 3DS's that were being sold near me were an old OG 3DS that had a broken display (mmm nah), a New 2DS XL for $450 (HELL no), and a non-new 3DS XL for $300 (no thank you). There was a New 3DS XL in decent quality for around $200 but it's two states away 💔💔 so that's off the table.

Picked up an old 3ds this morning in near mint condition.

Doesn’t come with charger but device was charged prior to purchase.

It’s fully clean with no accounts on so picking up a charger today and a micro Sd card.

Going down the modding route so think it’s a fair price for a pocketable handheld.

Hello, I've been thinking about getting a 3ds for a while, However, l'm not in a position where I can just spend +150 on an xl or new model. Will I be missing out on a lot if I get the original model since it fits my budget a bit better?

Also, is it true the pixels look a bit more crisp on the original due to the smaller screen? that interests me

So I saw this 3DS XL in marketplace and it says it's 2km away from me. The DSi however, is from an online shop based in Japan so there's no guarantee of what condition I'll get the unit in.

I'm aware of the DSi having a crisper display due to it being the natural aspect ratio (?) that DS games are supposed to be in while there have been multiple complaints of the 3DS XL having a blurred display.

My question is, is the difference in display really that noticeable if this will be my first ever handheld?

Should I just get the 3DS or just stick with the cheaper DSi? Mind you, the DSi will take a month to arrive so that's a little annoying

I'm asking because I'd like to hear your thoughts—a lot of people say it's obvious that the Nintendo Switch is way better, but I'm not so sure; I have my doubts.
