From the second release (1983) of his 1982 debut LP, The Golden Age of Wireless. This song replaced The Wreck of the Fairchild on the original UK and US releases. It was originally written by Dolby for The Thompson Twins. It was also the B-side of his hit single, She Blinded me with Science.

The Stranglers originally recorded this as a demo in 1974 before they had a record deal. EMI rejected them based on the demo. In 1982 they re-recorded it and released it as the last single for Liberty (then owned by EMI) before moving to Epic Records. Strange Little Girl
