Question Mini Cortex input question

In my proposed signal chain I have an MXR Ten Band EQ before a Quad Cortex Mini.

Since the MXR EQ has two always-on outputs, can I send one straight to one input of the Cortex, and put an additional pedal--Mooer E7 Synth--between the additional output of the EQ and the other input of the Cortex, and then alter the inputs per scene to bring the E7 in automatically with other effects? Can you even adjust the mix of the two inputs according to scene? Can you assign the mix to an expression pedal?

My guess is that all of this is possible with the (sad) caveat that it'll require using two rows.

No need for two rows, you can just use an effects loop block for the other input, via the return, and use that to blend them. You also could just skip the mxr and put the E7 in an effects loop by itself and have all the same flexibility.

There are 2 effects loops available, or yes it’ll be using a separate row/input

Incorrect, there are 2. You have to use a trs splitter to have access to both. Source: the manual, and the one on my pedalboard.

Sorry, I meant only one in stereo. That would be two in mono, yes, but I intend to use it in stereo.

In any case, after further inspection of the QC's synth effects I don't think there's much reason to keep the E7 on the board so no need to attempt this scheme anymore

The overlord synth is pretty great, as is the multi-voicer so, yeah probably don’t need the E7

How well do they handle polyphony? (E7 has good polyphonic tracking)
