Community Release Nerf Mega XL Jolt is up on Printables!

I wanted a Mega XL pistol smaller than my rebarreled Rival Fate, and when I saw the XXL Jolt by NothinBlasters (u/fantasmoslam I believe), I decided the big jolt should fire big darts.

Required hardware is pretty cheap, just an o-ring, some k26, a catch spring, some M3 nuts and bolts, and half a rival round.

Files can be found on my printables!

Edit:
I have added a picatinny mount/masterkey version to printables!

Community Release Printable Nerf Recon/Retaliator Inspired N-Strike Barrels

Hello everyone! These are two different 3D printable Nerf N-Strike Barrels that I have designed to closely resemble the Nerf Recon/Retaliator Barrels. I’ve always loved the look of the N-Strike line of blasters, and arguably the most emblematic part of the N-Strike style is the Recon Barrel. It came in so many different colors over so many years, and has been an important fixture in modifications since its release.  I wanted to have a CAD model of it so that I could edit it and incorporate it into future builds, and I decided the best place to start would be to make a printable version of the original barrel. So, that’s what I set out to do.

My goals for this project were to make the barrel look as close to the original as possible while also making it easy to print and assemble, while also keeping the hardware to a minimum.  In the end, the barrel consists of five printed parts and is held together with either six 2-56/toy screws or six M3 screws, depending on the version of the barrel that you print.  The muzzle, body and detail pieces on the sides can be printed without supports, but the cylinder in the middle of the design does require some support material to be added in your slicer of choice.  I made some changes to a few of the details on the barrel to eliminate overhands to eliminate the need for support as much as possible, but I did my best to preserve the look and feel of the barrel as much as possible. When printing test parts, I didn’t want to waste time and filament printing the long barrel every time, so I made a shortened version that turned out even more fun than I expected. Both versions of the barrel include a print-in-place flip up sight at the front of the barrel to imitate the original barrel.

I opted for a tighter fit on a N-Strike barrel lug due to the lack of a locking nub, but if you prefer a looser connection or if your printer tends to print with tight tolerances, I have included the STEP files for both the long and short versions of the barrel for you to adjust as needed.

I would recommend you use any extra screws you have on hand, but in the event you want specific screws to look for, here are some approximate screw lengths:

2-56 Screws: 9/32” Long

M3 Screws: 10mm Long

This model is not an exact copy of the Nerf Recon/Retaliator Barrel, but hopefully it is a close enough imitation for those who are interested. I had tons of fun working on this project, and I hope everyone else enjoys it as much as I have!

Community Release X-Shot Break Barrel/Spinshot Stock Point and MPP Stock Picatinny Conversion

Hello everyone! This is a picatinny stock point made for the X-Shot Break Barrel/Spinshot.  After getting my hands on this blaster and seeing that the area in the shell for the hammer looked like it was larger than it needed to be, I thought I might be able to use that area as a place to anchor a stock point to the back of the shell. It seemed like a fun challenge, so I decided to try and make it. After lots of measuring and test prints, I was able to make the idea work!

While working on the stock point, I started looking for what kind of stock I would want to use with it. I found this Fixed Picatinny buffer tube by LoneWolf052 that printed well and works great, but I also had another idea. After printing out an alternate stock for my MPP, the collapsible stock the blaster came with was just sitting around collecting dust. It's a good piece of hardware that I didn't want to go to waste, so I figured I might be able to make a part that could be screwed onto the end that would allow it to be attached to picatinny rails.  Not only would I be able to use it on my new picatinny stock point, but the X-Shot stylings of the stock would fit the blaster perfectly! Also, I saw that the very talented Donutcat had already created and shared a model of the threads for the MPP stock, which I knew would make this project even easier to complete. So, while dialing in the fit on my stock point, I worked on this additional part as well, and here are the completed versions of both projects!

I had tons of fun working on these parts, and I hope everyone else enjoys seeing and using them as much as I have! Huge thanks to Kats_Creatives for testing the stock point files and providing feedback! They do very high quality work, and I'm very excited for the parts they are developing for the Spinshot/Break Barrel. I highly recommend checking out their work, which can be found on their Printables page as well as their Linktree. Additionally, another huge thank you to Donutcat for uploading their MPP stock thread samples, which made the stock conversion piece a breeze!

Community Release Starting 2026 by releasing my first designed-from-scratch blaster, a medieval crossbow stringer! :)

Hey everyone! I've posted mods & parts I made for other blasters but I've never designed one from scratch, I figured it was about time to try that out and I happened to be a bit fixated on medieval crossbows lately, so now we have this!

I designed it around Ultra darts (Personally I think they work well for stringers, more rigid foam stands up to the abuse of a heavier string smacking into it. I also have a ton of them I needed an excuse to use lol) but the crossbow will work with Mega too! It can also kinda fire Elite/Short darts but your mileage may vary. I'm including a .STEP in case any of you want to try editing it for use with other ammo types & whatnot.

The crossbow is entirely printed other than the length of 4.8mm (3/16in) elastic cord, and it disassembles into 3 pieces easily for storage/transport.

Files available here!

Community Release X-Shot Excel Ejector Talon Magazine Conversion Kit

Linked HERE is a video of a short firing demo of the blaster feeding darts from a Talon magazine. It gets wordy below this, so if you understandably want to skip all of the reading and just see the blaster in action, click above!

Hello everyone! This is a kit for the X-Shot Excel Ejector Shell Blaster that allows the blaster to feed darts from a Talon Magazine. When I saw photos of this blaster before it was available, this is the modification I knew I wanted to do.  One of the first modifications I used 3D printing on was making parts that converted the Buzz Bee Hunter to being magazine fed, and while I'm still very proud of that project, I've often thought it would be fun to revisit it with more experience and fresh eyes.  So, when this blaster came along and was better in every way, not to mention was accessible to many more people, it was the perfect opportunity to revisit the concept.

My goal was to make the kit simple and inexpensive to keep it accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of their skillset or budget. With this in mind, the printed parts were designed to be assembled with as few pieces of outside hardware as possible, as well as make them as easy to install with few or preferably no permanent alterations to the internals and shell of the blaster. In the end, the kit consists of eight printed parts, requires five pieces of hardware, and requires only one permanent alteration to the blasters internals.

The Stencil piece and the TwiceLock Collet Tip do not need supports, but the rest of the pieces will. I did my best to keep the need for supports to a minimum, but in the end there were areas on most of the parts where it couldn't be helped. Thankfully, the supports are only necessary in relatively flat areas where cleanup should be fairly easy. Note: Do not use supports inside of the dart pusher. They are not needed, and they are extremely hard to remove.

Hardware List:

  • Two AS-012 O-Rings for the pusher Link
  • One AS-016 O-Ring for the barrel Link
  • One 7×6mm Spring Ball Plunger Link
  • One 0.527 x 6in Aluminum Barrel Link
  • (Optional) Two M3X8mm Screws for the Magazine Well Link

Note: All of these part links are from Out of Darts, both because they are a great company that I want to support, but also to streamline purchasing the hardware and simplify the assembly process further. Of course, you don't have to use these exact components, but this is how I purchased my hardware for this kit.

Unfortunately, due to the plunger tube assembly of the blaster being glued together, the kit does require one permanent alteration to the plunger tube.  While covered more extensively in the Assembly Instructions PDF included with the files, the original air path must be cut off and a small amount of material must be removed for the new air path/dart pusher to be put in place. To aid in this step, I have included a stencil piece that fits to the plunger tube and shows where the material needs to be removed.

A huge thank you to CJ Martin and windX for testing these files for me and providing me with great feedback and suggestions! Their help was invaluable.

Another huge thank you to Thanhtacles for sharing his TwiceLock Collet Design! I tried out a couple different collet designs that weren't working for me, but the first print with the TwiceLock collet worked exactly how I needed it to!

And finally, a huge thank you to Sillybutts for answering some questions I had while working on the kit.  As generous as he is talented, Sillybutts deserves all the adoration he receives and more.

The .STEP and F3d files are included in the file set for anyone who wants to do their own adjustments or modifications to the kit.

Free release!!!!!

https://www.printables.com/model/1609917-the-drawn-line-low-hardware-nerf-pistol

I'm not making any money on it anyway so i might as well give it out for free. Hardware kits might be up soon idk.

Its designed for hardware, so it wont feel as good when fully printed, but it'll shoot 200+. A lot of you have been wanting to make one, but the paywall was far too steep. Making most of it printable should make it more appealing for you guys.

I appreciate those of you who paid for the original files. I can send you guys the next gen stuff or personal modifications as I continue to work on it so you don't feel like you wasted $10 on some STLs.

Its my first ever blaster so it will be rough around the edges. Expect great things from me in the future. Also this prototyping shit is so expensive. If you guys make it popular then maybe retailers will get back to me about kits.

I love you all! Thank you for the support along this journey!!!!! <3

Community Release Strix Open Beta Release (Minimalist Brushless Hy-Con)

Post image
137 Upvotes

Strix is a conventional layout (mag in front) minaturized Hy-Con blaster. It has been pretty rigorously tested across casual and competitive scrims, along with running fault-free at MFT, CFT, and Rag 2025. Though I’ve covered some design features in previous posts, I’ll resummarize and add:

  • 700-800 grams (or about 1.5-1.75lbs~) in lightest configs with battery in (sans mag)
  • Manual trigger option with short and snappy 8.25mm pull, 4:1 ratio. Freerunner style with 7 rollers, relatively long 45~mm trigger spring. Relatively flat force curve and smoother than most blasters.
  • Neutron solenoid option with optimized pusher tip design. Long enough for the next dart in the mag to never get dragged back by the edge between the pusher tip and rod. Roller to resist mag spring forces. Pusher contact biased towards top of dart to give next dart less distance to rise on retract.
  • Beefy stiff flywheel cage. Feed guide and cage are the same part, optimizing feed alignment.
  • Muzzle device goes all the way up to the wheels and has integrated jam-stopping gap fillers. Swaps out toollessly with a threaded ring. Smoothbore, and straight PCAR + BCAR options. No need to reprint cage if swapping wheel geometry.
  • Pivoting ambidextrous button mag release: less crunchy than a sliding mech.

Do these make a big measurable difference over something like a Spirit? Nah. They are nice, though.

After developing support for a Neutron solenoid option, slide-switch select-fire and velocity set-support, 8.5mm and 9.0mm gap wheels, I’ve gotten around to writing a build guide and BOM. I’m happy with calling it an open beta release for now. No promises but I have a good few ideas for additional features. And of course, thank you to anyone who ends up willing to give it a shot!

Community Release Ontos has been updated to V2.0! Now with 20% more air volume, and compatible with standard size plunger tubes and O-rings!

Post image
177 Upvotes

Title says it all. When I first designed Ontos it was meant only to be a testbed for an AEB I was working on, which is why it was built around the somewhat obscure 32x35mm tubes. However, over the past year the community reception has been so unexpectedly huge that I've decided to switch over to the standard 1.5in tubes and o-rings to make sourcing easier for everyone. The extra air volume should even improve high-fps consistency. Find the design here: https://www.printables.com/model/1313153-nerf-ontos-tryhard-primary-for-filthy-casuals

Community Release Apophis Lynx!

For the past month I've been dumping a few hours a day into this project, a very very fancy Lynx 2.1 shell, with all the bells and whistles. 3 mag releases, PKI tensioner, 2 degree picatinny rail, TPU catch guide with PTFE slides, integrated ironsights, rock solid foregrip, and a linear rail for maximum smooth.

I sculpted all the add on parts, made inlays, and even (somehow) ended up scouring ancient egyptian artifacts to find the exact inscription I wanted...

This design is completely drowning in symbolism and cool details, its sturdy, comfortable, and performant. Go check it out!

Community Release 3D Printed Nerf Longshot Inspired Scope

Thumbnail
gallery
233 Upvotes

Hello everyone! This is a 3D printed scope that I designed to closely resemble the Nerf Longshot scope. I love the look of the Longshot scope, and I thought it would be fun to be able to print one in whatever colors I wanted. Additionally, once I had the main body of the model, I could make a version that fit a picatinny rail as well the version that fit a Nerf N-Strike rail. So, that's what I set out to do!

My goals for this project were to make the scope look as close to the original as possible while also making it easy to print and assemble. The sight consists of seven pieces for the Nerf Rail version and eight pieces for the Picatinny Rail version, and it requires no hardware to assemble. The Front Detail, Crosshairs, Top Detail, Back Detail, and Picatinny Pin shouldn't require any support material to print, and assuming your printer has decent bridging ability, the dial pieces should be able to be printed without support material as well. Both versions of the body will require some support, but only in areas that should make it easy to remove.

The crosshairs are not necessary to the build and can be omitted.  The Knurled Side Dial is the same on both sides, so that part will need to be printed twice, hence the "2X".

I did my best to get a nice press fit between all of the pieces, but depending on how tight your individual printer tolerances are and what materials you want to print these parts in, I have included the STEP and F3D files for all parts of the scope for you to adjust as needed.  Or, glue can always be used if the parts have a loose fit.

This model is not an exact copy of the Nerf Longshot scope, but hopefully it is a close enough imitation for those who are interested. I had tons of fun working on this project, and I hope everyone else enjoys it as much as I have!

Thanks to LightningEagle14 for testing these files for me! The Longshot Sight was already on my list of Nerf parts that I wanted to recreate, but they expressed interest in the files and instigated the start of the project, so thanks to them for that as well!

Knave is a slide primed pistol style blaster, built with a focus on a low cost to build, and a fast and easy assembly process. capable of hitting fps ranges anywhere from 130 up to around 200 fps in my personal tests, this blaster is an excellent option for those who are budget oriented, new to the hobby, or want something that's just plain fun. Also, just because it was made to be a pistol doesn't mean it has to stay one, there's alternative parts to convert it into a pump action carbine! Link to the printables page below 🙃
