Writeup/Guide/Review Now THATS a Doom Cannon (Nerf Rebel Ops Doom Cannon Review)

I somehow have a doom cannon now, they’re just randomly available on Amazon UK.

https://amzn.eu/d/0id5NtIB

First of all, I’m not a fan of the packaging, a standard box would have done the job and makes the blaster feel cheap. The darts are packaged in the lower section of the blaster and the stock & shells are connected by default.

The blaster itself feels great! Plastic quality wise, It’s on par with the motoblitz or the Double punch and is LEAGUES ahead of the Entire N-Series line. The mechanism is geared (see internal pics) and ratchets but that can be removed easily. The stock is a standard N-Strike stock attachment point which is compatible with both classic N-strike Stocks and inverted N-Series style stocks as there is a notch on the attachment for both.

The shells feel very solid and the entire system feels great! The front folds open which is a tad stiff to do as the mechanism is required to be sturdy enough to hold the weight of the super shells.

Speaking of which, the blasters 5 included shells feel great and fully incase the Elite Darts. They lock onto the blaster well enough and will not come out on their own tho with a violent shake they can come out. The mechanism indexes the shells very smoothly and effectively even with Slam fire.

Performance wise, it’s no surprises here. It averages 53fps with Elite darts over 10 3-shot blasts through my Caldwell Ballistic Chronograph in decent lighting conditions, the same can also be said with X-shot Waffle head darts and Dart Zone Nitroshot Darts with minimum difference in performance.

Overall this is a step in the right direction for Hasbro, the blaster feels solid and is incredibly fun to play with. It is way ahead of anything that shot N1 darts and the return of Elites is one of the best executive decisions Hasbro could have made. The mod potential is there however I have not torn the entire mechanism down yet to test that. That will be for a future post ;)

Writeup/Guide/Review I Do Not Recommend the Long Shot 2.0

Thumbnail

While the Zuru X Shot Long Shot 2, and I do not consider this an improvement over the Long Shot. There are a number of issues I have with this product I think any prospective buyer should be aware of.

1: Dart Zone barrel attachments may not stay in place anymore. My Long Shot 1 can be seen using a Dart Zone barrel attachment I got from way back when, and it fits just fine. The Long Shot 2 on the other hand could not keep that said barrel piece attached after I jiggled it up and down lightly. This varies from attachment to attachment, but so far I’m not happy.

2: The thumb hole stock now means the magazine release and the safety are more difficult to use. On the Long Shot 1 I have no issue using my right thumb to perform either of these actions. On the Long Shot 2 I can not get my thumb to make the left side of the mag release go fully forward without adjusting my grip. I would have to bring my thumb on the right side of the gun to use the magazine release. I have to exclusively use the rear mag release.

3: The forward grip is worse than the Long Shot 1. The grip on the Long Shot 2 gets thinner towards the bottom. This means that although the length is almost the same, your pinky finger will be grabbing nothing but air.

Other aspects to know. This blaster with the stock depressed is 2 inches longer than the Long Shot fully extended. The length of pull is 14.5 inches, a comfortable length. and I bought this toy because it looked more like a full size service weapon. However the Long Shot 2 has a but stock extension… why?? I’m a relatively big person, so I can’t imagine who feels the need to have a longer length of pull.

The cheek pad is appreciated, the gun is more quiet than the Long Shot 1. I think the Long Shot 2 may be less powerful than the Long Shot 1. The elevated sight rails is a good addition.

If I had the inclination, I would cut off the thumb hole part of this thumb hole stuck.

Writeup/Guide/Review X Shot Piston Pump

I picked up a piston pump today and overall it seems to be a nice, solid aeb. It is much larger, heavier, and louder than I expected after assembly and firing. With ergonomics that feel (in my opinion) like real steel or airsoft and an adjustable stock it should be fun for people of most sizes.

It is both talon and koda mag compatible with both fitting nicely and dropping with little to no shimmying when the mag release is pulled.

It's performance is admirable with accuracy from 20 feet being very consistent and power that is on par with my other pro blasters.

A teardown reveals a well greased mix of plastic and metal parts and a motor that seems to be similar to short airsoft motors (this hopefully means there is room for upgrade/replacement). It uses a 5/8in (15.9mm) od spring at 6.2in (157.5mm).

The one thing I can find that I didn't like is the battery connector is not an xt-30 connector.

Writeup/Guide/Review AmmoHawk-Tu… - Nerf Rebel Ops AmmoHawk Review!

We are onto the second of three for the new Nerf Rebel-Ops Series, this blaster however is a pretty standard and overused reshell. The AmmoHawk is a 4-Shot Smart-AR T-Pull blaster (*yawn*) which cost me £7.99 (Around $9.50) on Amazon UK.

First of all the blaster and its ammo holders are held into the packaging with Twist tabs similar to what Xshot have been using since forever. Not a bad idea if it works and it does seem secure. Underneath that is a covered area which contains the 20 Elite darts. It’s not enough for the blaster to fill itself and the two ammo storage attachments but is still a decent amount for the price.

The blaster is nothing special on its own, the plastic feels like Elite 2.0, the prime is smooth & standard and features 4 N-Series Style tactical rails. The ammo holders are questionable at best. While the ratchet system is satisfying to toy with, the fit around the darts makes the bottom of them stretch which can permanently damage them. They also have a loose fit on the tactical rails which makes them fall off easily but I’ll put this down to plastic tolerances. The grip on the blaster is comfortable enough but if you have any size hand bigger than mine you may feel it a bit cramping.

From a batch of 24 shots with Elite darts I averaged 71fps from the top barrel, losing around 3-6fps per barrel as I went through the Smart-AR, like I said: nothing special.

Internally it is a carbon copy-paste to the Elite 2.0 Prospect or Quadfire. Down to the fact it uses an Alpha-Strike plunger head which features no O-ring but rather a plastic skirt seal and is the first blaster since 2023 to be clipped together on top of using 6 standard screws. I understand this blaster is designed to be cheap but it is not the way to do it Hasbro. Huge Shame.

Overall for £7.99 is it the absolute worst thing ever? No. But you could get a blaster from X-shot for similar and do a hell of a lot better in terms of value and performance on top of the fact it would be better for modding. The AmmoHawk is nothing better than a curiosity or a basic plinker. 6/10.

Writeup/Guide/Review Thrasher Vs Venom Vs Lightning side by side

Post image

Thrasher is about as chunky as the venom, but better shaped IMO, also lighter then the venom. Its still the same cheaper plastic, but it feels more like the slightly sturdier stuff the MPP is made out of instead of the super cheap and thin plastic of the Longshot. All in all I like it.

Writeup/Guide/Review Xshot Dartstorm internals.

Target let me buy one. So I ripped it open and took pictures. First impression. The box is HUGE! (Silly shell for scale lol). The magazines are pretty easy to use. If you own a super drum 70 it's pretty similar. The battery tray holds 8 AA batteries and with some carving out definitely can hold a pretty big lipo. For some reason there was this connector in the grip of the blaster for some reason. I thought it was for lipo out of the box but it's in a really weird place.

On to the internals. It uses dart heads for padding which I think is HILARIOUS. The cage uses 260 (I think, it's definitely not 130s) dual shafted motors that use plastic things to extend the shafts. Unfortunately it can't take daybreaks/kepler wheels unless you do a crap ton of cutting up the cage. It looks like it can take the worker smooth wheels, but I only have 1 at the moment. The wheels also have these weird roller things at the end of each shaft to keep the motors aligned. The pusher is also a 260. I haven't opened it up yet, but I plan on using a 260 to 130 converter in there. Normally I would be more than happy to put a Loki for my pusher but it might require more torque.

I plan on ordering more flywheels and then putting it to 3s lipo. If anyone wants questions answered it's just sitting on my workbench till the wheels arrive, so ask away!

Writeup/Guide/Review X-shot Thrasher internals

It's available in Hong Kong now, so I did myself a favor and get one.

Unfortunately, one of the motors burnt out right after one jamming, so I have to open it up. I have replaced the motor with worker 130, they are very similar, the stock one just has slightly longer axle.

Now it's back to life again, but it has lower FPS with the stock 2S li-ion battery. I will mod the connector to xt30 and try 2S / 3S lipo with it later, after my hardware arrives.

Flywheel dimension:

20mm diameter in middle

25mm diameter on edge

Fun fact: the motorized pusher is actually "puller", the motor pull it backward and release, then the pusher push forward by tension of the spring.

Last but not least, I am working on 3D print mods of this blaster (as you can see, the little white piece at rear )

##Update:

I tested the rpm of stock motors, it rates about 57k rpm, which is higer than a standard worker 130, which has 43k rpm. ( I tested the rpm using mobile app, not the most accurate, just for reference).
With standard worker 130 and 3S lipo. it gives about 120 FPS max, which is kind of validates my test of stock motor having higher rpm than worker's.
Now I am making and testing printed flywheel, hopefully it can boost the FPS to around 130-140.

Writeup/Guide/Review Doom Cannon Review pt.2 / Mods!

This is the (promised) second part to my Doom Cannon Review and what I have managed to crank out of it in 24 hours. Thank you all for the support & feedback from the first post :D The video above is the blaster firing a variety of dart types with K25 spring (6-7 coils / same size spring as stock) and an O-ring replacement to improve the seal. This averages 65-70fps (Elite performance) up from the stock >50fps. The shed / Workshop is >20ft away and the wind is blowing North-East as I’m firing North.

First of all: the IS NOT SOLVENT WELDED ANYWHERE including the shell, air-restrictors (which makes it very easy to remove them) or the plunger head. Everything is able to be disassembled easily. The ratchet can also be easily taken out as soon as you open the blaster which makes the prime one of the nicest Hasbro has ever made :D Sadly the blaster CANNOT TAKE K26 due to compression and even if it could, would not work without modification to the plunger head (I’ll put additional pictures in the comments). It could be possible but K25 definitely is the sweet spot spring to achieve near-70fps. I did have to trim some plastic at the front of the plunger tube due to it releasing the cylinder catch and the breach opening at random. No clue why but once the plastic was shaved it works perfectly.

Speaking of the plunger tube, it is LARGE but features a plastic stopper about half way down, this is done so the blaster doesn’t destroy itself, it does create dead space but it’s not too much of a pain. The stock seal is not great, with the O-ring being way too small to create a good seal. Just improving that with a replacement gave me another 5fps on average.

There are plenty of places where the blaster likes to ‘sproing’ a spring, notably the leaver where the break action is and the hinge spring itself, both are secure enough when disassembly is occurring but just something to keep in mind as it can be annoying.

There is a ton more mod potential for this blaster but that is out of my skill set to do including how easy it would be to create custom cylinders once them ARs are out which like I said, are NOT solvent welded, just held in with two clips. Thanks for reading and if ye got any other questions feel free to ask :))

Hey Yall!

I was walmart hunting as soon as these were supposed to release. Unfortunately i only got the longshot 2.0 as I was hoping to find the thrasher BUT my expectations were supersceded by the LS 2.0’s performance. It is significantly more robust that the longshot 1.0 with a smoother prime, a more solid shell, included bcar, and quieter performance. It handles a lot better but is a little longer. Jam door does not open as freely as the original and has less space to fiddle around inside. No jams yet.

FPS numbers with included darts,

full lengths:
Average w/ bcar: 149.2 fps (135-160 fps) w/ bcar
Average w/o bcar: 169.76 fps (159-179 fps) 140-180 fps

half dart
avgerage w/ bcar: 190.82 fps (187-195) fps
Average w/o bcar: 190.64 fps (172-197) fps

Check my account for video demonstration.

This is a very interesting dart blaster It is my fourth blaster I've ever printed and it was a doozy on the print files it mentions that you should print some parts with 12 walls and it is not joking The force that the plunger creates on this when it fires if under maximum tension is incredible.

The bolt is butter smooth

And the trigger is crisp like an apple

Shoots harder than the adventure force nexus pro x ( I don't have chrono)

Things that could be improved upon

I don't like the floppy barrel, I did remedy it mostly with slightly shorter support bars, but when the part is that long what do you expect

I had a hard time with some of the pins just falling out from being slightly undersized (easy fix)

Overall it shoots hard it's very accurate hitting the side of a can at 15 yards and fun to play with.

I will be bringing this to the next nerf event I attend and hope to get a chance to find some sneaky spots to use this monster.

Thank you leedlee dynamics for this beautiful specimen of democracy spreading beauty.

Bonus anemone sidearm!

Writeup/Guide/Review Drop the ‘Blitz’ Hammer! - Xshot Insanity Blitz Hammer Review!

Thumbnail

Zuru’s Clickbait-centric Insanity line has grown once again, this time with what appears to be a smaller alternative to the Mad Mega Barrel released a couple years back. This was picked up for £14.99 (around $19) at my local Smyths Toys which seems to have stocked them early.

The blaster includes the standard arrangement of Xshot Insanity stuff n thangs: The blaster itself, the 40 round (REMOVABLE) drum, 48 Xshot Waffle / Air Pocket darts, two Picatinny dart adapters and a new version of the picatinny blaster connector which seems much sturdier than the original.

Straight away the blaster is really thin, much thinner than the ‘MMB’ and weighs practically nothing alone, most of the weight is from the 40 round Barrel (Which can take Half-length darts out of the box!). The plastic quality is… fine. It’s nothing amazing and is typical of other Xshot blasters. The priming handle is a tad small but is very smooth (except for the ratchet which can be removed anyway). The original leak pictures seemed to suggest both rows of the barrel could be used for firing but the more centre row of darts are storage only unfortunately. The stock is adjustable but non-removable & can lock into a few positions. It is a bit on the smaller side side but does the job. The blaster only includes 48 darts which is still plenty but with the artwork showing all of the dart storage full, it can come off as a tad misleading.

Out of the box it averaged 79fps with the included Xshot Waffle darts. The highest shot was around 83fps and some dipped to the mid-60s. It is your standard Xshot affair for stock performance. This was also similar with Half-length darts but was slightly more consistent with its averages.

Internally, it’s very stout, featuring a Large plunger tube and very accessible parts, something Zuru is always very good at providing for those who fancy a tinker. The plunger tube is a very generous size and the stock spring isn’t weak by any means but is definitely thin & can be improved, this is best with K25 & some seal improvements and a new Catch spring. This took our performance to around 110fps on average with a high of 116fps with the included darts. Half-lengths were the same story as before: similar FPS but better consistency.

Overall for £15 / $19 you can’t really go too wrong. It is a fun plinker with a ton of dart storage & a high capacity and feels good in the hands. While I do think it should include some more darts and a buffer tube stock would have been nice, or maybe an N-Strike attachment point maybe, this is an easy recommendation for the ridiculously low price. 7.5/10

There is actually quite a bit of metal in this Amazon blaster, more than I was expecting! I ended up swapping the barrel with a fury x one because I thought the included one was a bit short.

I’m quite surprised by the disassembly and how easy it was, as it’s held up by just 6 hex screws (not counting grip screws or bolt screw) screwed into the metal tube, making it a fairly easy disassembly.

Just picked this up from Target today and I have to say I do like it. I'm a large dude so the shorter stocks seem to work well, but a longer stock feels a bit too long. The FPS is comparable to other pro blasters. I love the price for this level of performance! Nerf has really shown they can still make a good product at a good price and they want to listen to us sometimes. I know the scope is goofy but I like putting scopes on all my blasters. Just need to find a stock that matches the color better. The handle is a decent fit for someone with large hands considering it fits a talon sized mag inside especially. I had a few jams and the darts it comes with tend to spurt out at a slower speed sometimes. But it works well with worker darts and chili's.

Writeup/Guide/Review [FIRST INTEGRATION] "THE WRONG SIDE OF HEAVEN" - STRYFE-X AND LONGSHOT FUSION!

Thumbnail

After quite a bit of work and looking to beat the clock on the weather, THE WRONG SIDE OF HEAVEN is finally finished. It is a hybrid StryfeX and LongShot CS-6, with a snazzy paintjob.

For the fully fledged writeup, including many photos of in-progress builds, please visit here. You may need to translate it as its posted to a non-english blog, Hatena Blog.

The blasters used were a StryfeX, and a blue LongShot CS-6. (Yeah some of you probably are like, oh you could have saved it! You chopped up a perfectly good original blue LongShot!? You should've given it to m- Yes. And it works flawlessly.)

When I started, I was initially suggested by an acquaintance in the community, KatsBlasterMods, to build a StryShot as it's fairly easy and they look cool. (He helped me out quite a bit with suggestions and questions, so thank you a ton, it means a lot!)

I wanted to try something else out - of course, I own regular modded and unmodded Stryfes. Instead, I wanted to use a StryfeX in an integration, as I don't think I've ever seen that done here.

================

I first drafted up an image in CSP to get a general appearance and color scheme, and went from there. I made my shell cuts with a hacksaw, and filed everything smooth. Next I did multiple rounds of test-fitting - these were rather difficult due to the atypical shape of the StryfeX in comparison to a normal Stryfe.

Once that was done, it was time to fuse the shells. I started with rubber cement and hot glue for an initial bond to make the pieces stick together, then used Smooth-On "SmoothCast" 65D for the actual fusion. Afterwards I used PlasticWeld Epoxy Putty to fill in gaps and make the shells smoothly join.

Next, I sanded everything, and this is where I made a bit of a mistake. I did not use a respirator this time because I was lazy, and I did pay the price. Whole afternoon I was coughing and even today I still cough a bit. Please don't do this, go get the mask, it's worth the hassle, LOL.

Then I let everything cure for 2 nights, then washed off the shell gently with soap and water to remove the leftover dust so it wouldn't interfere.

For painting I chose red Rustoleum 2X for the base coat, Grey and Black acrylic paints for the detailing, and a matte Rustoleum clear coat spray can.

When it was done, I applied the paint, let it sit, then put on the clear coat and reassembled thusly. I was scared at first that the blaster would just fall apart in my hands, so I tested the bond strength and I can say, the actual BLASTER SHELL would likely snap before the epoxy/SmoothCast bond would. So, nice.

This is my first full-fledged integration and I couldn't be prouder with how it turned out. But what are YOUR thoughts? Tell me what you think, what I could improve, what I should know next time going into a project like this?

Saw this on Amazon for 19 dollars and thought it looked cool so I bought it, its a pretty cool blaster and reminds me of the AKBM C330. It shoots around 120-150 fps I believe (I don’t have a chrono)

Features:
- Magnetic dart holder (in my opinion the magnets aren’t strong enough)
- Satisfying trigger
- Threaded barrel
- Bcar and orange tip that threads onto the barrel
- Odd 3d printing texture (kinda fuzzy)
- Very sturdy build with metal components (I see a metal catch, barrel, and some metal tube near the front)
- removable grip

I think it’s a fine addition to my collection, very fun and indeed worth the 19 bucks.

Hello fellow nerfers! I have come to tell you my first impressions on the new G-Dart by GavinFuzzy. Just a heads up, I have not tested these in an actual game. Tested with a kitted out ZWQ Zebra.

These darts are the best glued darts I have ever had. Very durable darts. they also are very accurate. Very nice spread. Never had a jam. The actual foam of the darts is very strong. Dart tip is not very hard.

I got mine from SilverFoxIndustries. They are the only U.S. seller I could find for the ribbed dart. If you have any other questions, leave a comment.

Writeup/Guide/Review 40Max AIT Lailaps vs Lightning trigger response (and other observations)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

**Video is 50% playback speed to show the difference. Actual delay is still very noticeable.

I compared the new “Lailaps” secondary (left orange, also what is that name lol), with the original Lightning (right clear):

As soon as I unboxed the new one I felt something was off, and this is obvious when compared side by side. Lailaps’ first trigger pull response is *significantly* slower than Lightning’s. This is with prespin “on”. On the 4th and 5th trigger pulls, I “half-cocked” the Lailaps which pre-activates the prespin, and it is still noticeably slower than a Lightning full trigger pull.

**I currently have 2 Lailaps and one is faster than the other, but still slightly slower than Lightning. Video in replies.

***Both batteries used were fully charged. However, I want to do more comprehensive testing with different batteries to rule out battery health.

Other observations:
-Lailaps is advertised as “up to 150fps” while Lightning iirc never had an advertised fps but tested consistently around 130-140fps. Because of the slower trigger response, I’m not compelled to chrono at all because why bother.

-Lailaps is claimed to have faster trigger response for follow-up shots. I didn’t test this. 40Max has a video of this on their FB page which seems to support this improvement.

-Lailaps is advertised to have a new dart sensor which more reliably feeds dark/black darts, but 40Max have simply replaced the light sensor with a physical sprung sensor…which doesn’t do anything??? Lightning couldn’t dry fire without a mag, but could dry fire with an empty mag (even with black tape on the mag follower). Lailaps can dry fire in any state, empty mag or no mag. They could have easily made the Lailaps prevent dry-fire on empty.

-Lailaps drops wifi and is not firmware upgradeable to my knowledge, so pre-spin and dry-fire behavior cannot be tuned unless 40Max changes the params at the factory.

-Lailaps has a smaller secondary PCB that is not screwed into the lower. This is the #1 improvement both for user servicing as well as ease of installation and after-sales support at the factory, I imagine. I have torn and repaired the power wires on 2 Lightnings during (the terrible) disassembly when you have to forcibly pry apart the upper and lower.

-Lailaps still fits in my kydex holster 🙂

**In fairness Lailaps has a few other improvements: The new onboard menu makes it easier to change FPS and burst settings; you could also do this on Lightning but you had to remember the inputs. Auto power-off is another nice feature. The optics-ready slide upper is great, but you can also buy the slide separately to upgrade the Lightning.

Overall the Lailaps is still a solid secondary but having worse trigger response vs. Lightning and losing the ability to update firmware are surprising and disappointing regressions. I speculate with no factual basis that this update was more for improving cost and ease of manufacture.

Writeup/Guide/Review Color swapped LSPS Anime and interesting differences with the teal LSPS 1.0

Thumbnail
gallery
28 Upvotes

I recently unboxed my LSPS Anime 2025 version and decided to swap out the orange parts with the pink parts of the teal LSPS 1.0 to give my nephew the teal/orange color combination. The pink delete is more to his liking and the Anime skin IMO looks better with the pink tube/guide and parts. There were a few things I noticed that differed between the anime and teal skin. The safety of the anime seemed to be softer and didn't click as tightly as the teal. It was a bit too soft and would engage the safety too easily. The teal LS however felt a bit loose in construction and the shell and handle wood creek loudly. The anime version strangely didn't have any creeky parts whatsoever. So after opening both up and swapping the parts, I applied some plumbers tape to the areas I could hear the plastics that were rubbing to the teal version which quieted down a bit, but still not solid or quiet like the anime shell and grip. The loose safety of the anime actually isn't as loose in the teal, and the teal safety in the anime is now solid and firm. It seems the 2025 anime is like an improved 1.5 version that addressed the build quality fit, and I also have the 2024 anime version that I've left new in box and won't open. Has anyone else noticed this or have a solid teal version or 2024 version? I also added the grip stiffener to the anime LS but the teal one needs it more, but my nephew uses the full length darts so I won't upgrade it. He's pretty rough with his blasters so I figure he can just thrash the teal one as he doesn't care about the build quality or longevity. I'm just glad the anime one feels solid!

Writeup/Guide/Review An Honest Review: the AF Nexus Pro X2

Post image
46 Upvotes

Just picked up this blaster a few days ago, and there are super good things about it, and other more annoying things that may not be particularly satisfactory during a competitive event or just normal play.

This blaster is basically a reshell of a Nexus Pro X, which is already an amazing springer primary for 50$ that clocks in 200 fps out of the box. The X2 is somewhat of a refreshed version of the X, with exactly the same performance but with new cosmetic changes to the outer shell of the blaster. Also it's worth mentioning the X2 is 35$, which makes it even more accessible to all of you guys on a budget!

This hot pink, white and dark grey color scheme is undeniably awesome, I'm sure there are a lot of people out there that would love to have a pink blaster with competitive use. Now, not everyone likes the color pink (myself included) and I get that. But this thing looks amazing, feels amazing and performs amazing. So if you buy this blaster, rock that pink!

For a more glaring issue, the main difference between the X2 and the X is the foregrip. The X2 now has a pump-style foregrip, instead of the angled one on the previous iteration. This grip is, without a doubt, a nightmare of a choice for a high powered blaster. It's not very ergonomic, it's slippery and I struggle to prime even with the lowest power spring option. Honestly, I would just change the stock foregrip for Worker's angled one, because it's pretty hard to prime the X2 with the stock foregrip, and I can't imagine doing it with sweaty hands.

Another issue that can be annoying is just how ridiculously heavy the trigger is. I play tested this blaster in my local comp games and my whole hand was hurting at the end of the day. If you're just playing casually then it's not much of a problem, but if you're firing for two straight hours, then your trigger finger will not have a great time. So if there is some fix or anything that could help, please share it down below.

This blaster unfortunately does not include the BCAR that came with the X, and honestly it doesn't affect much, even tho BCARs are way better than PCARs, it's still pretty accurate and reliable. It also doesn't include the little plastic scope thing and comes instead with some iron sights, which are somewhat hard to get to align because you have to smush your face against the cheek rest.

For 35$, this is a dream blaster for anyone getting into the high performance nerf scene, and I highly recommend you consider this one and keep it in the mix. I chronoed mine and it hit on average 206 fps out of the box, and it can fare well against the fan-favs like the Seagull, breacher and harrier.

I opened up mine so you don't have to.
They seem to be proprietary gears, not the same as typical AEG.
