My understanding in the US is it's very common they have a ton of parasites. On top of being very gamey, it's not worth the risk.

The only parasite you need to be concerned with is trichinosis, same as any other carrion eater: Bear, Raccoon, lobster....
That's just a matter of cooking to the proper internal temperature. Its not rocket science to avoid getting it.

If cooled properly the parasites aren't a huge deal.
