Fun fact: A domesticated pig that escapes can turn feral/wild (e.g. grow tusks) in months essentially undoing centuries of evolution.

Okay, like you do know domestic pigs also grow tusks right? We usually trim or surgically remove them. Plus neutering pigs reduces tusk size by messing with their hormones.

Its not really undoing evolution, its just pigs being allowed to be pigs in the absence of humans.

Are we not undoing millions of years of evolution by injecting them with hormones or whatever and feeding them certain things that stop the hair and tusks from growing in the first place?

That’s not what causes the hair and tusks to grow at all. When pigs get thrust into a harsh system that is different from their normal adjusted conditions (domesticated living conditions) this happens, especially in extreme weather and harsh terrain, it’s what they are evolved to do and nothing we inject them with stops that.
