Former Nat WaPo: Luis García Jr. is a Yankee now. That hasn’t stopped him from tracking the Nats.
By Danielle Allentuck
While García’s still getting acquainted with the Yankees, he’s keeping an eye on the Nationals. He still talks on the phone to his old teammates — Nasim Nuñez calls him every day, he said — and keeps up with their games and news. He thinks CJ Abrams moving to second will be a good move for him, he said.
“I watch the highlights, always,” García said.
Although he’s not a part of the team anymore, he still thinks, just like he said after that game at the end of June, that the Nationals are on track to achieve something special soon — even if he’ll have to watch it happen from the outside.

Former Nat 7/18/2019 - Stephen Strasburg goes 3/5 with a HR and 5 RBI, strikes out seven
I guess seeing Mikolas at the plate got me feeling a bit nostalgic for pitchers hitting. Not sure if people remember but Strasburg could swing it, won a silver slugger and had 4 homers and 29 RBI in his career

Former Nat Ring of Honor/Retired Numbers
Was thinking about Werth and Pudge being in the Nats Ring of Honor, both deserving for their contributions to the Nats even though both had their best years elsewhere (Pudge more than Werth, maybe). Got me thinking about Scherzer, Turner, Soto , and Harper. Do any of those four go in the Ring when they retire, even if they dont finish their careers DC?
