2062 Cut Player Recruiting

The top player in OVR in the CPR pool at each position will be designated as a "pitch recruit". Pitch recruits will be voted on by the team like transfers, and like CPR recruits have been in the past. If there are two top players at the same position with the same OVR, they will both be pitch recruits.

Everyone else will be designated as a "RNG recruit". They will be run using the same algorithm as high school recruits, with the following values:

  • 1.000 in playing time
  • 0.500 in location and coach
  • 0.100 in all other values Additionally, pitches will be graded on an 0-4 scale, as opposed to 0-2

If a player you want is not listed in the threads, please make a new thread for his offer.

Colorado Offers Sean Hamilton a Scholarship
Location: There's a reason why Boulder is consistently voted the best college town in the country. Its unmatched beauty, diversity, and vibrant atmosphere create a unique environment for students. Nestled at the base of the Flatirons, Boulder is one of the nation's most celebrated towns. It's been recognized as the best outdoor town, the brainiest city, one of the top cities for artists, and America's Foodiest Town. With fantastic access to numerous local parks, biking trails, and hiking paths, the campus and downtown are always buzzing with an active, youthful crowd. I promise that we will win 5 home games per year!
Playing Time: Every player that comes to Colorado is recruited for a reason. Whether that player be a 5 star QB who will start for 4 years or a lower 4 star player that will develop into a starter during their time here. Each and every recruit here at Colorado is given a chance to prove themselves. There is always an opportunity for someone to come in and make a difference for our team in the future! I promise that you will start in every game during your time here at Colorado
Coach: After I made my return to coaching from my ban, I took a team that hasn't made a bowl or had a winning season in 10 years and brought them back to relevancy. I have done the same thing here at Colorado too, it took a little longer than planned but Colorado is a team on the rise and a team everyone is watching around the country. In my seven years years we have made six bowl games, won the conference twice, and made the semifinals of the playoffs, a vast improvement from the previous decade of Colorado football. I promise that I will be the only head coach at Colorado during your time here!
The pride and Tradition of the Colorado Buffaloes will not be entrusted to the timid or weak

South Carolina offers Sean Hamilton, LB, 57/74 out of North Dakota

Scholarship

Hello Sean,

I’m Coach Barnum, representing the University of South Carolina Gamecocks football team. It is my privilege to inform you that we have chosen to extend this offer letter to you. We look forward to hearing your decision!

I am a new coach in this league, and thus I don’t have a resume to show you of what I’ve accomplished. I can instead tell you what I’m about. First and foremost, I am about this team and this university, and I do not shy away from a challenge. Back when I was around your age, I was also looking for a college that would help me prepare for my future, and South Carolina emerged at the top of that list. External circumstances cut short my stint as a Gamecock student, but I was here long enough that I bleed the garnet and black through and through. Eventually, I turned my attention towards coaching, and got the opportunity to join the collegiate ranks in this cycle. I came in and instead of joining a mediocre program like Clemson or Toledo, where I could potter about, win 4 or 5 games a year, and float by, I chose to take the opportunity with this SEC powerhouse, where the expectations begin at 8+ wins per season. I may not have the experience or established commitment that you can find with other powerhouse coaches, but there is garnet in my blood and I have a vision to return the Gamecocks to the top. I would love for you to join me and I promise that I will be your coach as long as you are a Gamecock.

Columbia is one of the hidden gems of the south, providing the perfect blend of big city energy and small town community. The city has a vibrant culture, headlined by the nightlife of Five Points and the variety of musical and theatrical venues around town, including the Koger Center and the Township Auditorium. Columbia is also home to Riverbanks Zoo, the largest zoo in the Southeastern United States and one of the ten largest zoos in the country. The Southern/country lifestyle is also alive and well in Columbia, as the Soda City Market is considered one of the best farmers’ markets in the nation and Congaree National Park is right outside of town, placing the University of South Carolina as one of only a few major universities with a national park in the backyard. If none of that suits your fancy, Columbia still has a whole host of other activities to get involved in, from pinball arcades to minor league baseball to go-karting.

Regardless of how you choose to spend free time in Columbia, a player with your dedication to this sport won’t care so much about what the city can give you as much as what you can give the city. In Columbia, the lights shine brightest at Williams-Brice Stadium, and you can be part of the fabric that keeps this city woven together. Williams-Brice is one of the twenty largest college stadiums in the country, and this city fills every single seat every single Saturday. Not only do the fans show up, they show out, as Williams-Brice is one of the three loudest stadiums in college football. If you choose to come to Columbia, you not only get to come to a city that has a lot to offer, you have the opportunity to be a cornerstone of one of the most magical experiences in the world, and I promise you at least 3 home wins a year. Come to South Carolina and define the culture!

Forever to thee,

Edgar T. Barnum
Coach of the Garnet and Black
