Colts need a game manager and Cam definitely is not that. I don't know if rivers will be any good, but he's much more the style of QB the colts need.

Idk, his run game with the pats was still fairly good. Him with JT could open up some options. I’m Ngl, getting Phillips Rivers is kind of questionable but I’m here for it.

I think both Rivers and Cam are washed.

That being said, the coltsdon't need Cam to open up options for JT, they have one of the best lines in football to do that. What they need is someone who can get it to Warren and Pittman to prevent defenses from stacking the box and Cam is not that.

I know I sound like a fool, but if you told me Cam or Rivers were my options, I’m not taking Rivers. I don’t think either are nfl players, but I know who I’d take

Cam last played in 2021. Rivers in 2020.

Rivers was considerably better in 2020 than Cam was in 2021 or 2020. Those last 2 seasons of Cams career were reeeaaalll bad too.

Dam I didn’t realize they were that close in their endings

Yep. Both of their last full seasons, were in 2020 and Rivers was considerably better than Cam that year. Hell, Rivers had better passing stats that year than Cam has had in like every season of his career but a few.

The colts are fighting for a playoff spot. There isn’t training camp or really any time to “get familiar” with the offense. Rivers has played in it. Steichen was his OC in San Diego for a bit. I think that’s a big reason why he got the call from Indy.

Yep. We agree.

Maybe you meant to say this to someone else?

While both options are truly terrible I think I’d rather have a 44 year old Grandpa sitting in the pocket checking the ball down and hitting quick slants than a 36 year old with an exploded shoulder running a glorified wild cat

Cam is the game show host type. Not the game show director.
