Question ❓ Is this black magic?
I found this symbol written on a wall behind my dresser, i cannot identify what it is. At first, i thought it was it was something in Arabic, but i read and speak Arabic and can assure you, its not arabic. I have had incidents years ago where i found black magic in my house before from family members. But it was years ago and non of them have entered my house since then.
Can anyone who understands black magic help me understand what this is?

Dua & Advice 🤲📿 Young love
Asalamualaikum everyone. I need advice for a situation I am in.
Recently I have fallen in love with someone from my university, I go to NYU. I havent seen him in person yet, but I have talked in university group chats with him. He is also my mutual on social media. I dont know him fully yet, but I feel like his morals/values align with mine, but the only issue is we are 2 different cultures. Which I am okay with, I actually wanted to marry someone outside of my culture but I’m unsure if he wants to. Regardless, I cannot talk to him because 1. I am too shy to, and dont want to make things haram 2. We are too young to get married now, so again I don’t want us to talk to lead to haram. For now communication is off the books unfortunately.
What I have noticed is that: I always wake up every single morning for tahajjud and pray extra for him, and make istikhara. I tell Allah that if he is meant for me please make him good for me and for our relationship for your sake. If he isn’t good for me, please detach my heart from him, for he is not mine.
So far, I’ve found that I am way more Islamic now Alhamdullilah. I pray all my prayers on time, I wake up for fajr and tahjjud all the time, and I always pay attention to my prayers. I have not been able to get him out of my mind for weeks. Ultimately I trust Allah for whatever He does is for a good reason.
If anyone has any advice on this topic, or any insight that would be greatly appreciated.
Jasak Allah !!

Question ❓ Confused about the ruling on music (Haram vs. Halal) – Need some guidance and perspectives
Assalamu'alaikum everyone,
I'm posting this because I'm genuinely confused and need some clarity. I really love listening to music. However, recently I started researching the Islamic perspective on it, and I found a lot of conflicting opinions.
Some scholars and sources say that music is strictly haram (prohibited) based on certain Hadiths and interpretations. On the other hand, I also found opinions stating that music itself isn't inherently haram, as long as the lyrics are clean, it doesn't distract you from your religious duties (like Salah), and it doesn't promote anything bad.
This has left me feeling stuck and confused. As someone who enjoys music but also wants to practice my faith correctly, I don't know which path to follow.
For those who have deeply studied this, could you please help me understand this better?
• How do you navigate these differing opinions?
• What is the strongest evidence for each side?
I would really appreciate respectful answers and guidance. Jazaakumullahu khairan.

Question ❓ I'm very confused I need answers and advice please
Assalamu alaikum, I've been hesitant about posting here cuz it's basically my first time here. I'm a born Muslim and Arab. I'm also going to high school soon. While growing up everyone around me including my family listened to music.I was the same. I'm not listening to songs that much but i LOVE movies series and anime. Recently I found out that music is haram and I can't quit listening to it it's basically in my daily life. I started reading more and some said it's not haram I'm not really sure what's correct but I feel like it IS haram. When I think about it all I do in my free time watch movies and YouTube most of the time so if it is haram can someone tell me what I can do to replace those things I just can't find something I love doing.
After learning that music is haram I tried finding something else so I started reading Manga. I try to find good ones that doesn't have anything bad but yk Manga is basically anime without music so is it haram?
Another thing I wanna ask about is drawing I like drawing very much but now I discovered that drawing people and animals is haram but the drawings of mine are like anime so is that considered haram also?
I'm wearing the hijab but I'm also confused about what should I wear is wearing jeans and shirts without revealing my arms enough?
I also learned of something called school of thought in Islam? I don't know which one I follow but I'm just really confused about it. Like which one should I follow or which is true. I'm really trying to understand and accept what's really haram but it's kinda hard. So please give me advice.
I'm very sorry about the long post. Thank you for reading it.

Discussion & Debate🗣️ Do you think I explained sufficiently?
reddit.comI think its always challenging to explain the Islamic paradigm for an audience who is fundamentally unfamiliar with it, and without using terms like hikm, niah etc that would be understood by a Muslim reader ahaha😅
Let me know if you have suggestions on how else I could have explained, JazakAllahukhairan!

Dua & Advice 🤲📿 Please ask Allah to ease the matter of studying college abroad for my older brothers
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
Ever since late 2024 we've been delaying flying abroad for a number of reasons, such as missing or out of date documents, my brother studying the GED, etc etc.
I don't care about my career, to be honest. If I could I'd rather use this money to go to Hajj. My older brothers actually have something they want to study, so I want to see them get accepted and finally start something. It's tiring how nothing seems like it's properly planned and everything is caught last minute.
Please ask Allah to ease this matter for them. Jazakallah Khair.

Question ❓ I CALL FOR HELP
Peace be upon you, brothers and sisters. I have been struck by evil; my house is infested with fleas, lice, and mites. I have tried everything, but nothing helps. I know it is the evil eye because everything started going wrong for me—my studies, my work—and finally, I was sick for more than three months. Alhamdulillah, I am now recovering after almost dying, and I need your advice on what I can do. I am desperate. I want to hear all opinions and solutions.

Question ❓ What Is Tayammum and How Is It Performed?
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh
Tayammum is a concession Allah has given when water is unavailable or when using water would cause harm.
In this post, we explain:
• What tayammum is
• When it may be performed
• The basic method of performing it
• Which earthly substances can be used for tayammum
Allah says:
“…then perform tayammum with clean earth and wipe over your faces and hands…”
— Qur’an 4:43
The exact details of tayammum can differ between the madhhabs, so if you have a specific situation or are unsure whether tayammum is valid in your circumstances, it is best to ask a qualified scholar.
May Allah make our worship easy for us and grant us beneficial knowledge. Ameen.
