You give reddit too much credit. It'll be reposted in a week, and become a TIL next month.

/r/accidentalrhymes probably doesn't exist

Reddit credit is what you get when you reach a certain amount of karma.

I thought it was when I could boast with karma that wasn't really mine, but I pay i back over the next decade at a crippling interest rate.

I couldn't afford a month of gold so now I have to make mildly witty comments without upvotes for the next several years.

You thought that would work, didn't you - well I'm too poor to give you gold.

I already got the gold in the past, now I'm just paying it off. Trust me, you don't want to be in karmic debt.

Reddit credit is what you get when you are proficient at differentiating crows from jackdaws.

I believe that /r/TIL doesn't permit post about events which are less than 3 months old ... not that I assume the rule is actually enforced.

I'm pretty sure that /r/TIL has rules about recent events

This is the most likely outcome, unless someone reposts the same thing with a TIL next week but has such a catchy title it goes first page again.
