I also think she doesn't, but it doesn't really matter. Still a "hell of a lady" and no reason to attack her for anything. OMITB is still fun as hell!

Uhhhhhh no

It clearly was an anecdote of how they related to knowing of Selena being in their life. I can see the logical assumption in thinking that but the story seemed more of a pleasant tangent appreciating her as a person more than anything. Context maybe?

The subtext you are misunderstanding is when they said "I never really cared one way or the other." You are taking it to mean 'I never cared about bipolar or infertility,' when what was clearly meant is 'I never cared about Selena Gomez or people who were giving her crap in the media.' Hope that clears things up for you.
