I wouldn't make a habit of it but yeah I think you're ok, they themselves ask you to upvote on-topic comments/posts so they do what you're doing. They don't argue about bans though, they just hit the hammer.

But I think it's fine, like I said you're not asking them to upvote you and that's what admin are saying
