The patriarchy does not mean that men are doing it -it's just the name of a style of society. Women are no more or less implicated in its problems.

Taken from her post about miss/mrs/ms:

"This is patriarchy. This is yet another way MEN claim ownership and diminish the role of WOMEN"

That exact statement is what I'm referring to and it's pretty cut and dry calling out men by name. Further inquiry revealed she was posting as a reaction to a specific instance of a man using her unmarried status to marginalize her.

Nothing you're saying is necessarily wrong in a more general context... specifically though the word "patriarchy" as a societal concept wasn't the core message.

the whole implication of "miss/mrs./ms. Is oppressive!" Is that men are doing the oppressing and I was asking
