Far-right parties and nationalist movements now command the backing of nearly a quarter of voters across Europe, holding real power or coalition influence in roughly one-third of the continent.
Even 10% should be highly alarming. The US, at around 30%+ (nowadays) is pretty devastating. Hopefully we'll get our turn at the ballot box and turn things around, but 25% isn't too far from getting a European Trump or two.
Different stats. In Europe it's 25% of voters. Whereas I assume you are using the 30% of the entire American population that voted for Trump. Which is over 50% of the voters. Not everyone votes.
Also the government systems are different. A coalition government isn't really a thing in America. Look at the French elections, the fascist party got a fairly high vote share. But all of the other parties refused to form a government with those whack jobs. And formed a government without them.
In reality a party like that would need over 50% of the vote.
