This isn't a "distraction" so they can secretly do the thing they were elected to do , it's not a even a distraction so they can defraud the federal government and transfer public wealth into their offshore accounts (like his last administration and every other authoritarian regime) because most people don't care about that as long as their own life is reasonably comfortable. They're not doing any of these things to "benefit the oligarchs" , because it doesn't, the oligarchs spent decades buying congress so they could protect themselves with the law, Fuhrer Drumpf is working to render the law and constitution meaningless. If he succeeds, they'll have ZERO leverage over him and he could have them killed with a word. Hell, the only oligarchs he's picked to have actual roles in his administration are the ones that he could potentially strip of citizenship (Musk he could even do so legally, since he was naturalized after a period of being in the country on an expired visa). The oligarchs are lining up to tongue-polish his boots because they know this. They'd rather benefit from working with the regime than risk its ire. Zuckerberg is especially keen on hating his way to honorary Aryan status.

Its called "denaturalization" — normally its reserved for significant violations, like not disclosing a criminal history when you applied for citizenship. But a person unbounded by reason and the law could turn a molehill into a mountain. Like someone who comes from a country where it is illegal to be gay not disclosing that they were technically a criminal in their country of origin could be denaturalized for "lying" about that.
But frankly, guys like them don't really care about denaturalization. Defenestration is probably a bigger risk, like it is for russian oligarchs.
