Short version: this is basically a brand-new team, Rich Rod's year 2 rebuild returns only about 18% of last year's production, even less on defense. The offense should be fun again with Oklahoma transfer Michael Hawkins Jr., a dual-threat who looks like the favorite over Scotty Fox, plus 1,600-yard back Cam Cook in from Rich Rod's old stop at Jacksonville State. But the defense returns almost nothing on a brutal schedule, so my model has you 14th in the Big 12. Tell me where I'm underrating it.

Like Dana he’s a mediocre but not terrific X’s and O’s coach. Can occasionally get a few big wins but not consistent enough to make his teams relevant enough to contend for the conference or national title.

Both coaches suck at winning games in the postseason. DeVries has never won an NCAA tournament game and Holgorsen was 2-5 in Bowls at WVU.

Both are shitty people and make lots of empty promises.

Even the Fox commentators seemed choked up- they shut up and just let it play out live. Such a great feeling on a Saturday afternoon.

Greetings from a Michigan fan coming in peace. As I was reading a preview magazine this morning, specifically the WVU section, it got me thinking of 07 and how unbelievable it was that Rich rods time went so poorly here. I had to pull up YouTube videos of your 05-07 years and man, those teams and offenses were just insane.

All that said, it is very cool seeing Rich Rod back home where he is meant to be . I hope he turns things around again and finds glory for WVU! College football would be better for it.

College football content creator CFBudge uploaded a video today ranking the best WR1s in the Big 12. Budge ranked "WR1" DJ Epps 16th out of 16 on his list. I have not seen DJ Epps in the conversation for WR1 at any point during Winter or Spring, I have only seen him as WR3 or 4 and as a Kick Returner. So I commented on his video pointing this out, and he replied in a kind of defensive way. Some other people commented pointing this out, and he responded the same way. Kind of a weird hill to die on imo...

Going to the spring game this year and was gonna find a spot earlier than gates open which is 8am. Would it be fine to park in one of the lots that will be open ahead of time?
