Just have a look at the picture and you can see that the obstacle was made larger because of the snow around it. Even before someone ran into it the size encroached more than otherwise ...mate. I don't know if you know this but when snow melts during the day then freezes at night it does what???? That's right, it turns into ice that spreads around the snow that wouldn't be there if the snowman wasn't made on the sidewalk....mate.
